Crackle crackle

Howdy cowdies,

This is Jodie here, speaking to you from beyond the computer. In a quest to keep everybody up to date and bore you all rigid I am experimenting with The Blogsy App so I can blog from the Ipad.

Can I just add here, the number of interacting devices and associated passwords in my life has reached a point of critical mass. As much as I am keen to be able to post photos of my trip on every concievable platform while I am away, I can't help but think of the old days when friends went away and you had to WAIT until they got back to see their holiday photos. Cue, the interminably boring slide night effect of people describing every single photo to you. "This was our taxi driver" "This was a funny man selling stuff".

So maybe it is better if you just follow along, clicking "like" every now again if it behooves you. You can find me on Bookface and Instawobblies if you want it all blow by blow.

At any rate I can't get the "how-to" guide to show up so its all dumb luck from here on in. I can't figure out a preview thing, nor can I get rid of the acres of space. I apologise now for the fact I cannot locate spellcheck.

From where I am sitting this post looks like a bit of a dog's breakfast. Crazy spaces and teensy photos but you know what, I say Publish and be damned.

  1. It's a good post when it's got a picture of a cute kitty playing with a sewing machine =^._.^= The spacing looks fine from here.

    1. yes, my Ipad photos are always crap too. the blogsy App lets you use photos from your instagram photos, facebook photos, flickr photos, and picassa albums.

  3. I've got the Blogsy app and am feeling confusion. Maybe I will stick with the laptop as all these new gadgets take so much time to perfect. I love my ipad for everything else. Hugs - Lurline!

  4. It looks good to me, you've done we'll! I occasionally use the Blogger app when I need to post from my ipad, but I haven't posted in a while so maybe I need to use it more often!

  5. I'm actually impressed at how good it looks and are wondering which app you are using. I have blog press and no matter what I do my photos are teensy tiny when I publish them (so I go home and make them all big and viewable on the big mac). But yes, there is something nice about being able to follow along...kind of like a virtual post card (as long as you're not the kind of person who sends all your postcards from the airport on your way home).

  8. Looks good - I use Blogsy when I am mobile and agree the spaces etc look huge when you are writing the post but it all comes out ok when it's published..and Blogsy is definitely better for pics as they don't publish as teeny little pics! Have a great time in the States!

  12. Looks great from here. I can't even upload photos so prepare the text first and then put the photos on at my main computer, so you're doing much better than me! Have a great trip, I'm sure you will.

  13. You did really well Jodie! I still haven't worked out how to blog via my iPad so my laptop has had to be dragged along to NZ where I am at the moment! (It's a well travelled lappy!)

  14. Lookin good to me! Keep working on those mini keyboard skills...I find I dont press hard enough on the space bar and when I read back my finger or stylus tytping on the tablet, that it is often just one long word! Photo quality is terrific! I actually prefer my tablet to my little digital point and shoot! Hope the trip is going great!
    Cheers

  15. Hey Jod, i use the app to put all the photos and text in then I save it. I then head to the normal blog editor and format it there i.e. move photos and resize them but i find more than two photos difficult and then I hit publish.
Have a fabulous time, wish I was there!
    Hugs
    Jo

  17. WHAT is that cat doing? Is it related to the cat that is sitting in my new flowerbed directly under a nestful of cheeping, oblivious blackbird chicks? I think it might be, with naughty behaviour like that ...

  20. haha, I was saying that to Nikki this morning- it'll feel like we're there with you! No more boring slide nights haha. But also cause for extreme jealousy along the trip! Cant wait to hear more! (and i'd read your blog no matter how bad the spacing and spelling was :) )

  21. Well, if you hadn't told us you'd done the entire post through the app, I wouldn't have known the difference! :-)

  22. Looks pretty good from this end! Hope you're having a wonderful time.
BTW, why does a school librarian need spellcheck? (Asks this former primary teacher and spelling champion who relies on it!)
