This is.........my favourite accessory.

Hi guys.

Thanks this week to One red Robin for her theme. This is my favourite accessory.

I am not much of a jewellery wearer but lately I find myself drawn to pins and badges and brooches.

The red bird I bought last year at Magnolia square from Maru. The beautiful mirrored silhouette which was so hard to get a photo of, was a gift from the Art teacher at school and also from Maru I believe. The owl is of course from our friend at Lino Forest and the little illustration pin I bought from Lilymoon on Etsy.

Today's accessory , and it is really Miss Jem's, is this beautiful flower she was given by a friend.

This flower is just killing me - that squidink purple and the mottled bits. It makes me think of alien spaceships and sea anemones.
ooops, I have just been trotting around blogland and then I read lara's comment - I was supposed to take a photo of myself in the mirror.
Well it is 9.40 sunday night , I am very comfy in my not-for-public-consumption dressing gown and staring down a massive week of work, 3 orthodontic appointments -4 meetings and a whole library (14,000 books alone) to pack in 5 days.
Maybe I should take a photo of whats left of me at the end of the week !

  2. Yup - I love brooches too - especially flower ones made by my friend Alison and my lovely big pink carnation from Gina for our meeting in London in March!

  3. Beautiful, lovely brooches. And that flower - you have such an eye for detail Jodie. And you're cheeky - where is the "me taking a photo of myself in the mirror" part of this meme?

  11. oh Jodie, take a deep breath - you know you will blink and it will all be over. Why are you packing the books??? Is it time already??? Your broaches are lovely and brighten my day each time you wear them. I wonder if Pete's Passion will be as beautiful as that???

  17. Jodie,

GTH involves Tulla, O.G., Kew, Kensington, Ballas and Townsville. Not necessarily in that order.

    Cake sounds triffic.

  19. Beautiful pins, badges, and brooches you have there :o) Good luck with your busy week... especially the library-packing, which does sound daunting (and I speak from experience on the matter of library-packing, so I honestly do sympathise). But just think: packing the resources up will be a doddle compared with unpacking them again afterwards and trying to get them back in order... hmm, that thought probably doesn't help, actually, unless you're not the one who has to unpack everything... So I reiterate my earlier comment: genuine good luck for it all!

  24. Hi Jodie - very cute brooches - a great accessory!

Thanks for the bag tutorial - I just finished mine! What do you think? I used interfacing which I think was too stiff, but I wanted to make it NOW rather than go to the store!! Thanks.
