Hanging with Amy Butler

While I sneak off for a long (and much needed) weekend at sewjourn, I thought I would leave you with a pretty picture.bag

This is the bag I designed for Homespun magazine, using Amy Butler’s Lark range of fabrics. It has a back pocket and magnetic clasp and the front flap is covered with PVC.

My lack of organisation is freaking me out a little bit, I am usually packing coordinating threads into carefully sealed project specific zip lock bags for weeks before a trip to sewjourn.

This morning it looks like I have simply thrown the whole sewing room into the car.

If I were not stopping in at a few shops along the way, I could very well be tempted to travel in my dressing gown.

  10. I hope you haven't forgotten anything vital - like the power cord for your machine...

Amy Butler hangin with RockStar Jod!

Perhaps what you need is a Dress DressingGown - like military uniforms have a Dress version...

Or maybe start wearing clothes everyday, then you'd be less likely to forget...

Have a blast! I know you will.

  11. So wear the dressing gown...then say it was one you made a while ago. It's a long shot but it just might work. I should probably stop eating this much chocolate now.

Have a fab time and lots of giggles with wine.

  12. Make or buy a kaftan lined with flannelette, throw on leggings and boots and you will be as comfy as if in your dressing gown, but socially acceptable in the street! Enjoy your weekend.

I like the idea of the dressing gown. At least you'd be comfortable.
I often drive in my slippers because they keep my feet warm and I don't get tired either.
Hope you didn't forget anything vital!
    enjoy.
