I hope you don’t think I am flogging a dead horse

But I just can’t seem to finish with the robots:

staying alive
and my newest little family of robots made for the Daylesford Craft Experience.
robotsThese guys are made with delicious 100% wool felt and are possible the easiest ever toy to make.
I can’t wait to see what people think of them in real life. I am quite unnaturally attached to some of my creations as you know.
If you are coming along to the Daylesford Craft Experience you will get the pattern for these guys (as well as my other two projects ) in your goody bag.
and looking at these pictures I can’t help but wonder about a robot dog…I mean it seems obvious no?

  9. Oh Jodie they are gorgeous (as per usual). They remind me of the kids cartoon "Little Robots". I now have the theme song running through my head.

Now I just have to work out how to 'click my heels' to get from Roma to Daylesford.

  20. Have you seen the Wallace and Grommit movie about the dog robot? It's pretty awesome. I think it's called A Close Shave, 30 minutes, made in 1995. Dog Robot awesome :)

  28. I've made a robot dog - from your pattern! Sort of. I mean, I just took the legs and arms and made them at 50% on the copy machine, still used button joints, fussed with the neck/body a bit and added a little wire tail and ear antennae... the dog was just the right size for the robot's companion. So yes, it works and you already have most of it done!!!
