Just got home from work...it's raining and cold....heater is on ....uniform off and trackies and uggies and really daggy baggy warm top on....dog in.....cutting mat and hexies ready to go....all is right with my world....nanna's of the world unite!
The other night I was crocheting in bed with a cup of tea while my husband was reading the Economist magazine. I'm not sure when we became geriatrics (but I wouldn't change it!).
I wonder when Nanna marks her post as "coming out" whether she realised what my first thought was!! Anyhoo - Sounds like a perfect night in. Sometimes it's a race between me and my daughter who gets in our jammies first! (She's 8!). Now add in some chocolate digestives to dunk in your brew and heaven will be attained! xx
Sooo jealous! It's 10:30 a.m. here, laundry churning, vacuum waiting, groceries bought, have to work the late shift 1:00 - 10:00, and then be back there at 7:15 tomorrow morning. AAK!
Have fun and tell the dog, "You can hold it until the rain stops. I know you can." WHat is it with the wanting to go 'in and out' whenever it's raining? ;0
Happy weekend!! Thanks again for Sally and Smith - they arrived safely in their waterproof envelope! My daughter is excited to make them both. I will report back.
Helllooooooo Nanna!!!!

Just a whisper..hi..enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteAre there mothballs? You aren't a proper Nanna until there's mothballs....
ReplyDeleteEmbrace your inner Nanna! Hope you have your slippers on....
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with behaving like a Nanna....just don't look like one.
ReplyDeleteOh Jodie, it's moments like those that make me homesick. x
ReplyDeleteIf only all Nanna's were like you!?
ReplyDeleteFriday night fantasy :)

ReplyDeleteOh sound perfect, must try getting the family out so mumma can have some quiet time one of these days.
ReplyDeleteI was amused by my computer's attempt to give me a synopsis of your post. It read:
ReplyDelete4:59 Friday afternoon. Pyjamas:
On the first line. It then went on:
On kettle: Boiled Family:
It then read:
Out Sewing machine: Ready.
All of which made sense in a bizarre way which really made me smile.
I got the 'boiled family' synopsis too! Now that does sound a bit desperate :)
