Pikelet

You know that thing, with new parents, where you have to sit through endless photos of their child? And how new parents think that their child is the most beautiful / special /talented child ever to be born?

So I may not be a new parent.....................but look at this guy would you?
That tummy just kills me.
Pikelet came home with me yesterday from the Craft Hatch Market. I was hoping all day that he would still be there when I got there.....and there he was just sitting by the biscuit bowl quietly waiting for me.

Pikelet was made by the talented queen of wonk herself,
Jess of teddybearswednesday. Jess make the most perfect characters , beautiful mohair boys and tiny crocheted characters as well.
Tomorrow Pikelet will be coming to work with me-and that alone makes the start of the working week bearable.....
(snort ...bearable)

  2. I remember saying to a friends father when my daughter was born "Isn't she beautiful, she's just beautiful ..." and he said to me "Of course she is beautiful, she's yours!" and she was!

  9. Snort Snort, bearable! I get it! Har har. I thought he was your childhood teddy, he looks a bit love worn, but he's just 'newly adopted' by you. Will we see some scholl shots of him? Mucking around on the moneky bars perhaps? Or reading in the library? Reading The Three Bears? Oh, I kill me!

  10. I am chuffed to teensy bits that Pikelet went to a lovely home. (I’m assuming Fiskar, Olfar and Guterman are, underneath all that armour and bravery, amicable types?).

  16. Yeah, we get the joke, Jodie! Pikelet is so adorable, and you didn't even have to make him. Keep a close eye on him at work - you don't want to have to check all the kids' pockets as they leave the library! Have a happy or at least bearable week, Jod.

  19. Omigosh, he is so darn cute!! Just adorable, and his name is so perfect.

When something (or someone like Pikelet) sings to your heart, there's no going back!

He also reminds me of my very old 'Barney Bear' who's well over 40 now! His stuffing is coming out of one foot, and when we were still little tackers, my brother decided he needed a shave, so he's pretty bald in spots (well, nearly everywhere actually).... but I love him anyway. He used to make this cute growly bear noise when you moved him, but he's lost his voice in his 'old age'.

Pikelet will surely brighten up your day at work and love looking at all the books and things!

    Linda. xx

  26. That little bear is so cute he almost makes my heart flip over (pun intended!). Bears are gorgious though. I still have my knitted toy from when I was really little. That little toy has been through thick and thin and is now a little thin in patches but still loved.
