If you like Pina Coladas

and getting caught in the rain…

Then you just might want to join the newly-married Melly, the gorgeous Rosalie and the talented Simone for Urban stitches 2013.

For the first time Urban stitches will also be travelling to Sydney ! Totally  Awesomesauce in my book …it has been far far too long since I caught up with the Sydney crafty folk.  Urban Stitches will be in Melbourne on the 16th and/or 17th March at the Novotel Glen Waverley, and in Sydney on the 23rd and/or 24th March at the Novotel Darling Harbour.  That is two crafty weekends in a row for me (might have to have a preparatory detox and a few early nights before then).

Melly and Rosie have cooked up a "Pyjama, Pizza and Pina Colada" event on the Saturday night, so if you are coming to either Sydney or Melbourne for the weekend you might want to get your name down for that….I have no idea what they have planned, but my mind is racing.

For more info go you can pop over here for a sticky beak. Melly tells me that Urban Stitches sold out in a flash last year so you may want to head on over to Under the Mulberry Tree and get booking.(You can even pay in instalments)

Of course for your dollars you get four fully kitted designs, yep the patterns, the fabrics, the whole kit and caboodle, gorgeous foods and tuition from three great designers. As is my want I usually have to buck the system and offer teenager raising advice, life coaching or marital counselling instead…My stitchery does not stand up under scrutiny in such company , but I will do my best.

( You know, I’m thinking a new underpants embroidery is needed for the occasion.…any suggestion? )

There are just so many things one could embroider upon ones underpants.....
One could get quite carried away with ribald lady parts type jokes.......

One could even embroider some ribald lady-parts type jokes upon underpants to gift to appreciatively ribald friends, but one would not always blog those ones would one?

Leaning to the left

I find myself quite busy with an unscheduled day-job induced breakdown at the moment so please pull up a chair and talk amongst yourselves. Feel free to craft and look at the pretty pictures.
Designed by the wonderful Ms Zombie,
Bought from the Drapers of Mt Macedon.
Sewn whilst at Sewjourn with a raucous riotous bunch of wonderful women

If you notice excessive weirdness or drooling, I just ask that you make sure I am wearing good undies before you call the men in white coats.
I am happy enough to go stark raving bonkers but I refuse to do it in loosely strung, thin of crotch , bad day underwear.
I am a woman of principle.

Bad undies

The last five months or so at chez Ric-Rac have been a pain. Mr Ric-Rac got retrenched and well, it sucked big time.
Its kind of like, when you wear really bad undies...you know that constant irritation, the needing to keep adjusting and smiling and pretending your undies aren't riding up your bum crack.... when in truth you want to rip them off and throw them on the ground and stomp them into oblivion while screaming your head off ? yep, that feeling !

Anyway ! Mr Ric-Rac started a shiny new job this week so things are looking up.

I have been busy working on some stuffs for the Daylesford Makers Market and possible Etsy shop update.

I've been dreaming of new softies and one of them makes me so excited! He is sure to be my favourite ever softie.

I, and my gorgeous helpers, have been ironing out the wrinkles in the Parsley and Beet elephant pattern and the Disco-Bot pattern.

I have been playing with Mr Gocco

and right now things feel like the oldest daggiest pair of comfy undies around.

I hope you guys are all "comfy undies" at your place too.
