playing truant

So , having devoted the whole weekend to pattern-writing I am not really here. I have been quite productive so far, made the most stupendously ridiculous mistakes and mis-printed far far too many pages.
But, in a dash to Aldi...I found this little cart.

I had seen these months ago and thought they would be a cute display item but I resisted, so I was pretty surprised today to find one still there (and better yet half-price). So I bought one and assembled it this afternoon.
(It's lucky I speak that crazy weird instructional assemblage language.....this made IKEA look like baby blocks)

I think its a bit OTT myself and am planning to give it a bit of a makeover these holidays .

(oh and don't tell anyone you saw me- I'm writing patterns!)

  13. Once upon a time, a loooooong time ago when I was young and living in Sydney, I bought a kit to make a weaving frame; didn't realise till I got it home that the instructions were in Swedish, and had to have them translated first (mind you, instructions for all the furniture I have put together in my lifetime might as well have been in Swedish!) Great buy, Jodie; looking forward to seeing it in whatever colours at the next show!

  14. So glad to see you are focussing on writing those patterns for all your cool creations. Your little sidetrack was just so you remembered how 'not to write instructions' right? Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  15. obviously something about those German supermarkets. Have just returned from Aldi and am still trying to figure out why, next to the broccoli and apples there, one has the opportunity to buy everything to kit out the keen biker. Obviously excluding the bike ;-)

  16. We do love Aldi at our house. Just this morning I was there buying groceries for the week, but other visits have yielded the very computer I am using, a picnic table, and a hand held GPS. Have you seen the doll sized furniture they display to show what the larger ones will look like? I have often seen them with a covetous gleam in my eye. What fun to know you shop there, too. Ours is an easy half mile walk form home. Yours, too?

I feel better that you bought it.

I am seeing it with slightly duller colors so the birghtness is in your toys and patterns not the cart... maybe even all white?? Can't wait to see what you do to it.
