Who's that there in the dark?

What will you be doing tomorrow night when everyone turns off their lights for Earth hour?

Well due to the craziest of crazy worlds which is blogland - I'm going to be at Melbourne Zoo watching a fantastic concert.

That's right, having said no to the rugs, and lighting, and blingy jewellery and knee high fake tattoo tights and the car accessories and about a thousand other completely unrelated "free" things I have been offered in return for some blog time/space......

Someone gave me something for being a blogger (How weird is that?)

So tomorrow Mr Ric-Rac and I are going to be guests of the Earth-Hour unplugged concert at Melbourne Zoo. Apparently they are having some sort of blogger thingo and lots of Melbourne bloggers will be there. (shhh don't tell them Ballarat is not Melbourne).

and you know the very very best thing...... in return for invitations to this event and what I am guessing is going to be a great fun evening......Do you know what they wanted? How much blog time / space /placement of flashing lights and automated bells and whistles they demanded ???

Zip ! Nada ! Nothing !

Which, of course is why I am telling you.

(That, and it would be pretty cool to save the planet , cause you have to know, crafting on the moon with that weird no-gravity thing is going to be a killer)

  4. You could give Mr Ric Rac a dinky to Melbourne on your beautiful blue bike - it's not that far. LOL ;-)

  5. There is too gravity on the moon, it is just 17% of what it is on Earth. So you could craft you would just be able to bounce around like lunatics while doing it!

Have a triffic time at the concert.

  6. When I saw the picture of the giraffe, I got all excited because I thought you were going to design some sort of giraffe softie. I LOVE giraffes! Nevermind.

Have fun at the zoo, Jodie!

  8. Have a fabby-do time Jod! For once we won't be doing Earth Hour (normally we have a "party in the dark" with the children) because I will be on my way back from a mini bloggy meet up in London! I leave in about an hour! Woohoo!!!!!

    Me x

P.S. Can you please tell the people I had an interview with yesterday to hurry up and ring me to tell me I got the job? I know they really want me. Can't think why they are dawdling in telling me! ;o)

  14. Oh man! I got an email about that and I thought it was some type of 'too good to be true' spam.... bugger bum crap for being so untrusting of the universe!

  15. That sounds great. I am ashamed to say I've never even heard of Earth Hour - wish they did it in Scotland

  20. I got an email about that too, but when I checked the PR company's website most of it didn't work! I thought that was pretty poor for a PR business so ignored it. If they bothered to get their website working before contacting people I may well have been there with you!

  21. Have fun at the zoo, I can see inspiration for more softies coming out of this!

  22. Sounds perfect! Will some of your 'animals' be tagging along? :D

  23. Sounds like lots of fun, Jodie (but you could have fun anywhere!)Lots of inspiration for your what-I-did-on-the-holidays report to the staffroom on the first day back next term - complete with singing and animal imitations, I hope!)

  24. Have a brilliant time! Surely the knee high fake tattoo tights were at least worth a look..?

  25. I completely forgot that you are in the "other" Melbourne. When you talked about the Melbourne zoo I was thinking "she'll be right down the street from me" until I remembered that our zoo in Melbourne is the Brevard County Zoo. Silly me.
