Elephant Sewing Caddy

A small but sturdy little elephant to hold your sewing stuffs. I desaigned this guy a while ago for a retreat, then life went wobbly so he waited patiently to be shown.

It's Sunday, I've been cooking and tidying and doing general Sunday things.
I have some tiny but incredible pants to sew and some tea to drink.

My house smells very sweet and I should be totally relaxed because my
best-ever-next-door-friend tipped a bottle of radox bath gel down the central heating vent !!!

(It's all fine and no damage is done - but hell it makes me laugh).

The Splendid sampler 2 - Giveaway

The Giveaway is now closed and the winner Chriss has been contacted. Thanks for joining in everyone.

Hi and welcome. My name's Jodie and I am a designer of things. I design sewing patterns and fabric and enamel pins. Have a poke around , enjoy your stay.

I want to say last year but that feels like only yesterday so maybe it was the year before ? hmmmm.
Recently sounds good.
Recently I was asked to join the amazing Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson in designing a block for The Splendid Sampler 2

Using the Moda fabrics and Aurifill threads we were sent I designed my block called Pack your Bags ! (Page 92). It is a super easy pieced block with a little bit of embroidery. When I looked through the finished book I felt like perhaps my block was too simple - but I decided that people might like an easier block amidst the triple somersault paper piecing upsidedown applique throw your leg over ones.
I designed this block to celebrate the travel that eventuated because of this crafty life. My very first overseas trip was to America for the International Quilt market and it was the start of many trips and so much fun.
Are you part of the sew along? If you are then Pat is your host this week and if you enter you could win a great prize from Aurifill.

Today I am giving away a copy of The Splendid Sampler 2 book as well as two of my cute little sewing pins. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what kind of blocks you like best. Do you EPP, foundation piece, applique ?
Let me know and I'll pop back tomorrow and pick a winner .
cheers
