Bad undies

The last five months or so at chez Ric-Rac have been a pain. Mr Ric-Rac got retrenched and well, it sucked big time.
Its kind of like, when you wear really bad undies...you know that constant irritation, the needing to keep adjusting and smiling and pretending your undies aren't riding up your bum crack.... when in truth you want to rip them off and throw them on the ground and stomp them into oblivion while screaming your head off ? yep, that feeling !

Anyway ! Mr Ric-Rac started a shiny new job this week so things are looking up.

I have been busy working on some stuffs for the Daylesford Makers Market and possible Etsy shop update.

I've been dreaming of new softies and one of them makes me so excited! He is sure to be my favourite ever softie.

I, and my gorgeous helpers, have been ironing out the wrinkles in the Parsley and Beet elephant pattern and the Disco-Bot pattern.

I have been playing with Mr Gocco

and right now things feel like the oldest daggiest pair of comfy undies around.

I hope you guys are all "comfy undies" at your place too.

  6. I know all about the bad undies ... and I'm glad the Ric-Racs have got the wedgies firmly un-wedged from their behinds.

It's almost a feeling of freedom isn't it?

  20. Great to hear that your comfy undies are back on, lol! Nothing worse than being retrenched. I cant wait for the Parsley and Beet pattern to be released so I can purchase one. I wish I could make it to the Daylesford Makers Market but my daughter is in a parade at 11 so it might be a bit of a rush! I will have to wait for the next one I guess. Cant wait to see what your new softie looks like too.

I've got tired, teeny bit stressed undies - but sort of comfy too. (and a new skirt to wear tomorrow, so that makes up - almost - for any sort of undies!).

  35. This has been the year of the malfunctioning knickers for stacks of people. So glad Mr R has a new job. I think I can spot a possible mallard through my crafty binoculars.

At our place today? Tracksuit bottoms, slippers and holey knicks that are like an old friend.

  36. Ah! I know that undie feeling from way back when I had to wear my mother's handknitted underwear as a child (keep the child nice and warm!) And if Mr. Ric Rac had such an itchy feeling he must have had a bad time. I wish him a good comfy job and work that makes him happy and content. Wish you both all the best. Greetings from Germany

  37. So glad you undies are feeling better, nothing worse than undies up your bum. Glad Mr Ric Rac is working again, nothing worse than having the man of the house under your feet. Can't wait to see what you are up to with a new softie.

  38. Hi Jodie - I think most of us have been where you've been - it is just so hard to find good underwear these days! I'm sure it will all work out in the end... so to speak... lol

  41. Love love love the dolly with her darling coat and matching knitting bag. Ever so cute. Blogging makes a nice escape from bad undie days, as I well know. LOL, my word verification is "copie" perhaps because I am so good at copying other people's ideas, or perhaps because like you, I have learned to cope with bad undies!

  42. :o) That really made me smile - both the undies metaphor and that things are looking up chez Ric Rac. I love Kinder Girl and her coat and bag and everything. I really hope to make a girl and a boy for holiday presents this year. Thanks for the laugh.

  43. Your mother must have told you about changing your undies regularly, next time don't leave them on for a year. (Honestly! I don't know what you were thinking, I mean what if you had been hit by a bus and taken to the hospital and tehre had been the really handsome doctor there and he had to cut you out of your clothes and when you lying there all battered and bleeding with half a bus attatched and all anyone in that room would see would be the old too-tight elastic undies all cutting and getting tight on you and .... )
