This is Parsley and her brother Beet, two busy elephants who are not quite big and not quite small.
Parsley and Beet were playing in the garden. They built a great big pile of leaves
and Parsley tried to bury Beet.
But Beet jumped up and the leaves went everywhere!
"Did I scare you?" asked Beet
Parsley and Beet went for a walk and stopped at the little bridge.
Parsley went to the other side and Beet called out "Parsley........ Can you hear me? "
But Parsley had wandered off to jump in puddles.

Oops ! Parsley jumped a little bit too hard.
"Don't worry" said Beet.
Parsley and Beet decided it was time to go home.
That was enough adventure for two busy elephants who are not quite big and not quite small

Gasp, love, admire.
Will you be selling the pattern?
What a perfect little story board book!!! I want to borrow it from your library!!! They are simply beautiful Jodie.
Fabulous and who doesn't love a red pair of gumboots:)
Oww Jodie, they are absolutely the cutest little couple.
Oh
My
God
Lady, you are so good at this gig.
Did you get the gum boots first and then design the whole thing around them?!
Just too good for words! Jodie, are you going to print these little stories with your gorgeous softies as books? I reckon you might know some primary school libraries who would be interested (and I'd be interested too)!
And ROLL ON Friday night!
Beautiful story and wonderful elephants!
wow Jodie, I am speechless!! so so so cute! I could just squeeeeeze them!! :)
GENIUS!!!!!!!
That book should be published with softie toys as a package. The names are PERFECT. In fact, the whole thing is so so so good.
I would even consider having another baby just so that I could read that book to him/her.
Too stinkin' cute!!!
Jodie... this is too cute for words! Fantastic photography, gorgeous story, and the cutest pair of gumboots an elephant could ever hope to own!

Yes, I agree with all. You are one super-talented lady, Jodie.
If I had a publishing company I'd give you a contract. If you're not already planning to, it'd be worthwhile sending it out to a few!
Love the photography. And the elephants, of course!
I love your ellies and I love their little adventure! You can so tell that you look after books for little people at work! Loving your blog.

One question: did you make those boots, or??
Have you ever considered a side-line in children's literature?
It could be a good way to sell product too.
Love the little red gumboots.

Srsly: you should be publising your little illustrated stories.
I know it's not that simple, having tried to publish myself, but if you haven't contacted an agent, please consider doing so.
My wee girl just insisted that I read your story to her THREE TIMES!!!
Hope to see you for the weekend's fun... man-cold permitting, of course.
Isn't it worth having a few "EITTTS" days when you rebound with such a charming success a short time later? How's that blue fabric coming? Do we get to see it soon? Please observe that I'm not even mentioning a certain object that I'm not nagging to see. It's green. And white. And large. But I'm not mentioning it. Really.
Ok, now those are SERIOUSLY CUTE!!! WAY more cute that the sneak peeks led us to believe. Those little boots are just adorable. I'm thinking there needs to be a book coming out soon!
Oh Wait! When Parsley and Beet change their clothes, do they put on a ric rac jumper and shorts???
