Finally, the mother of all inventions to the rescue...thanks Jodie!

Sonya said...

Hey - My mum gave me a 'mother's clock' for my first mother's day (10 yeras ago now) which has 16 hours on it, just like yours :o) , since a mum needs the extra hours to get everything done. It isn't a working clock, but looks like one and hangs on the wall in a kitchen, and catches visitors off guard - very nifty. Yours is a lovely softy version that is sure to strike a crafty, mothery chord. Good job.

Well done Jodie!!! The funny thing is my kids actually do say "15 o'clock" - the stove uses a 24 hour clock!.
Mind you I think that I will use this one though the next time DH asks what time I came to bed ... this morning I could have said "half past 14 dear!"

Threeundertwo said...

You are cracking me up. My favorite is how the numbers get closer and closer together and 14 is just squeezed in between 13 and 15. haha seriously I'm laughing out loud and people are looking at me (I'm at work squeezing in blogging time, shhh). Absolutely hilarious. I need that clock in my life!

Becky said...

That's hysterical! And I totally need one!

Thanks for sharing!

urban craft said...

nice work. I just am thinking about the actually hours in the day (24) and if we factor in how much on average we sleep (8) then we are already using 16 hours of the day for whatever (crafting) and I guess you are pretty much bang on. Honestly, we should really have clocks set in military time with the whole 24 hours and that would be more accurate. Does the clock actually work? I don't know why I am asking a question here, you probably don't read all the comments anyway.

Hey Jodie, I'm going to learning how to sew for the very first time starting up sometime in the Fall when we are back home in the US. Can you recommend some great beginner books by chance? I am a serious beginning, we're talking never even learned how to sew a button on! Sad, I know. I'm particularly interested in quilting. Very blog is such an inspiration. xx
