The world wide web

Did anyone else get a buzz out of that last post...Can you believe people visit from Africa and Israel and Belgium and Warsaw ? That's head-explosion material folks..

The winner, as chosen by Master 15 and the patented-close your eyes and stick a pin in the page method...is Susan of flossieblossoms . clap clap clap....

and a funny thing happened on the way to the show... I bought this little cart from Aldi remember? with a view to giving it a bit of a make over...

well I did that, and on the weekend when I did a mock-setup of the stall, complete with the measurements of the stall taped out on the floor

well...quite simply it didn't fit...no way no how.....

now..how to just slip it into the decor of the house so no-one notices....

  1. What a shame it is such a great stand too ! Don't worry it will be hardly noticable in the house , ha!

  2. oh I love your tag for your post, I am an idiot! better you realise now that when you get there...I was next to a stallholder who rocked up with 50 million pieces of furniture and sent hubby back with most of it and left her with a table!!!!

I'm sure it will make a cute display in your sewing room or there is always ebay!

  3. What a shame it doesn't fit - its so cute!

I think you should wheel the evening meal to the table and see if anyone notices. If they don't, then I'd say it belongs in any room in the house.

  4. Oh what a pity it didnt fit in the stall! You could always pop it in the hallway or kitchen as a little display stand for your wonderful toys!

  5. Bugger! Maybe it could loiter just in front of your stand, it surely wouldn't get in anyone's way and would grab their attention too? Or are they pretty strict about stand overflow?!!

  6. Can you call the organisers and tell them you need a bigger stall? I mean, the cart is so cute, shame to waste it. I'm sure they'd understand if they saw it....

  8. Congratulations to Susan, yeah!!!!! Now Susan, we will want to see some of the things you make ...

Jody, there will me more craft events, yes? It might just fit in one of the others where your space might be a bit bigger ... or maybe you could wander around the isles pushing your little cart?

    LOL

  10. Well, a real idiot would have paid full price for the dear little cart, but as I recall, it was on half-off, wasn't it? So, see? Not an idiot at all. :) I think you should bring it anyway, you're going to sell out of so many things so fast that you'll have space for it in no time.

Jodie, I'm so excited to have won your giveaway! Thank you so much, and thanks to Master 15, too! Pin-sticker extraordinaire, he is.

Yvette, thanks and you can bank on it! I'm looking forward to making some of Jodie's little darlin's!

Thanks again, Jodie. You're a generous person, I appreciate everything you share with us, all the time.

  11. I like the idea of it loitering in the hallway, with cute little dolly faces luring passers by in to see all your wonderful wares. I do hope you are taking some of your adorable cards along. I LOVE them. I've had them for quite some time now, and dole them out rather stingily for very special occasions.

  12. I think Susan is right.... you'll probably sell so many things you'll have room for it pronto! It is gorgeous!!

  13. That could fit anywhere in my house and no one would notice - the joys of small children who leave toys in their wake wherever they go. Such a shame it won't fit - so very cute.

  14. That's a pity it doesn't fit because it looks so cute and just perfect for your toys.
Surely it has been around long enough now that the family won't notice it still lingering? LOL

  15. Nice makeover - bummer you won't get to use it for the intended purpose. You could revert to "What that old thing? We've had it for ages."

  16. congrats to Susan.

Yep, very cool seeing Vintage RicRac as the International Unifying force for craft that it is. I say it, cos it's like a nation with you as the Head of State and all the little creatures and robots as the populace!

Aw shame about the cart, but there will be other shows and things. You'd have had to bring it home after, even if you did use it this time so I'm sure you have already picked out it's future location. You just hadn't got around to informing the family!

What's next??? Do we get to see the piles of stuff as you pack?? How's the list? Have you written sweary words on it!?

    Cheers,
    AJ

  20. If you have stands like we previously have had then I would take it and put it just outside your area. It's just too cute not to use surely?

  22. Heehee! If you cover it with loads of crafty bits I am sure no one will notice :P Or maybe it could be a bright, happy plant stand to go in your garden? :D

  23. Bummer about it not fitting, I personally think it would make a fabulous shopping cart/market trolley,

  24. MAYBE use it and different shelf? I mean I REALLY like that Aldi buy!

Have you started to count down the days... I am REALLY looking forward to it.

  25. Ah, love it, I can see you wheeling it around the streets of ballarat, like, 'Vending' stuff. Cool huh?

  26. Clearly you have never been next to a "don't you know who i am stall holder" & just take over the space of the poor business next to you!! I've had that before, fear not, i have never been shy & pushed racks off my allocated space back into Ms UpHerSelf. So if you're NOT up for throwing your weight around, well, yes, i can see your husband loving that in the boudoire, non?? Suitable for a bathroom piece?? I likely the laundry?? So adorable, love Posie
