inter galactic giveaway or blogging from a life raft

So we come to the third and final Stitches and Craft related giveaway. This one is for all the international people.... (as in...NOT in australia)
You know, I have one of those little maps right down at the bottom of my blog and it puts little dots on where people are visiting from. Its quite fascinating. But it can be quite worrying- I've had this conversation with a few friends...you see, two people visit my blog from the middle of the ocean. Yep, two little red dots in the middle of the ocean. I can't help but imagine two lonely castaways on their wooden raft, with their laptops...you know, just catching up on some craft blogs... (edited to add - there is only one dot today - oh dear, I hope the other person didn't get washed overboard)So if you would like to be entered to win a show-bag of patterns and stuff from me, Just leave a comment - and if you like, tell me where you are from, your town and country or just your country - whatever rocks your life raft!

(The winner of the previous giveaway that had no fancy title was "sewing the seeds of love")

  5. You really do have some strange dots on your map! Here's a dot from Holland, from a small village called 'Engelen' (which means 'angels'). No sea nearby, but we do have a house below sea level. Does that count? Hopefully we'll never end up as a dot in the sea.....
Anywho, I would love to win your patterns!

  17. Seems to me that the one dot is simply on vacation in Hawaii and took one of the outriggers out for a spin. The previous-second dot is already enjoying tropical umbrella drinks back at the hotel.

Greetings from rainy old Glasgow, Scotland. Not the middle of nowhere, but sometimes feels like the back of beyond! Sea... about an hour away by train.

Given the scale of the map, could that be a teeny tiny island community? With a RicRac totem in the centre of the village and great excitement when the village elder relays a communications with the great creator (note small letters)??

Would I like to win patterns and stuff from you? Oh, you do ask some daft questions - who wouldn't!?!?!?!?!

I liked the look of that duck of yours a short while ago, is he going to put in an appearance soon?

  153. Hi Jodie, of course, the two readers on their rafts -poor dears- in the ocean deserve your give-away much more than I do, but I like the things you make so much, I decided to write a comment, anyway. I especially love the robots and the robot-cats you created – and the photo story you told about them. I think it definitely needs be turned into a book. I come from the south-western part of Germany called Baden-Wuerttemberg. I spent most of my live in my hometown, which is called Esslingen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Esslingen). It is a nice place to live. But right now I am 250 km to the East in Garching, which is directly north of Munich’s borders in Bavaria. I work in Munich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munich) and it is a beautiful city with lovely places surrounding it – but it is expensive and my parents and friends are far away. So I get homesick, now and then. I work in a translation agency, where I was hired as a proof reader, but often do all kinds of other stuff. In my spare time I do some proof-reading for people I know – right now the dissertation of a neighbour about gas turbines – very techie! I just recently started to craft again – nothing impressive, just knitting a few scarves for friends, but it feels good to do it. Otherwise I love to read, go to the cinema, theatre, exhibitions and craft fairs, which I do way too little right now, and television and surfing the net, which I do quite a lot. That is a bit of me and I wish you and your family all the best from my part of the world!

  154. My little dot is in Coos Bay, OR - United States. Though we live right on the ocean, this girl is definitely a landlubber and hasn't been on a boat (or a raft) in years!

  155. Hm, I never had a mid ocean dot on my blog, but I do get them all over. I'm in Brasil and found your blog... I'm not even sure how anymore, probably through a series of click throughs from other craft blogs. I think it was initially my fascination with your salvage frock that made me stick around, now I just read because you're fun to read (although I admit I am inspired by your projects, I have not attempted any of them, yet).

Everyone pitches in and supports the schools and the kids. Love it!

  180. HEEELLLLOOOOO from the deep dark jungles of AFRICA, yes its me again!!!! Did you know that I had to ride my pet zebra (after feeding breakfast to my lion) for miles dodging cannibals, killer cobras and humungous elephants in musk, in order to the bongo drum out post to have this beaten to you on the bush telegraph! Please take pity on this poor craft outcast ....

Well actually I DO live in South Africa, but in a gorgeous seaside town called Durban and to be honest the closest thing I have to a wild animal pet is my 5 year old son and the family of geckos in my house! oooh wait and the tribe of vervet (we like to say vermin) monkeys that like to raid my kitchen on a weekly basis for fruit, veg and bread!
