Only you could stop mid-chaos-stream and make a duck. A duck with integrity, that everyone is quackers about. (sorry, it slipped out)

There was once this old fellow being interviewed on the venerable BBC Radio 4. The young whippersnapper of an interviewer was asking a lot of daft questions about how the duck's head handle walking sticks were made. The chap, who had clearly been making them since nineteencanteen, tried to answer the questions using that long suffering tone, as you would to someone who's sanity you are not quite certain of.

"How do you carve a duck's head?"
"Well. You take a block of wood. Then you cut off all the bits that don't look like a duck."

Cheers,
AJ

Hi Jodie, this is my first visit to your blog and I'm glad I found it. We have something in common, we both work in school libraries. Just as well for that because it gives me a great excuse and reason to make lots of wonderful toys. Kind regards, Anita.
