Still quilting............

I have been plugging away on the quilt in dribs and drabs.

I have pieced two of the three sections and am quilting them very simply.

I am just adding lines around the green and a few random rectangles. The starting and ending and hiding all the threads is what is taking me forever. Half a minute to quilt around a shape and then 5 minutes of knot tying and needle threading.

I have decided to quilt and join these two pieces before I start to piece the last third, simply because it takes ages and drives me slightly batty.

I was disappointed to find out today that the French word for Tampon is......................Tampon. Not even the French can make it sound attractive!

Can't wait to see it finished.
Your little purses are gorgeous. Love the duffel coat in the last post, it looks just like one I got for my little one last week.

  6. Pretty purses and i suppose the tampon label should avoid confusion. I keep mine in a little tin and i'm sure my boys suspect lollies therein.

  9. That isn't the most discreet tampon holder I have seen in my life...which I like, A LOT! I have never quite understood why we all try to get them out of our bags and hide them up sleeves before going to the toilet....they're tampons, not tools for taking drugs!!!!!!
And why do men find it an almost impossible task to say the word TAMPON? One of life's mysteries.
The quilt is looking fab, but you are really putting me off trying one, all that thread tidying, YUK!

  10. that tampon purse just cracks me up - I love it. Am still laughing...it's something about the sophisticated "mes" and the banal "tampons", and then the quirky handstitchedness - fabulous!

  13. Hey why not put that embroidery on your real purse !!! That will keep your money safe as nobody would be game to look in there.

  14. The quilt is coming along beautifully. I love how its so simple with all the white and how the extra stitching gives it a whole other dimension (other than literally). Too bad about the French translation - I wonder what it is in spanish?

  19. Love the quilt green is my fav colour. I'm sure tampon said with a French accent sounds much better that tampon said with an Australian one.
