Joke's on me !

Yep, I was totally cracking myself up over this......

I wordled and steam-a-seamed and stitched and stitched....and worked on my chain stitch....and then gave it a gentle squirt to remove the water soluble pen......

and the bloody thing ran.........................

Ironic really........

Hah Hah! if they were the only swear words my boys said i would be happy

Jessica said...

Oh no! Is bother a swear word? Don't tell all the mums that read Winnie the Pooh to their kids every night!

:))) highly amusing.
And my husband now reckons you're "classy"

Michelle said...

Oh no! Could you wash it with that dye grabber stuff? Very clear and explicit I know, but surely you know what I mean? Love the idea though (but not in my house - can't have the kids picking that up at home!)

Bugger.

Wickedly Divine Creations said...

Hmmmm got a few extra to add to that :s
I would be flat broke putting money into a jar just from the kids saying fart without any other words..Even my sweet little innocent 19 month old daughter says fart!!

i love how your mind works.

A perfect turner prize contender!

What a bugga about it running. Otherwise it is brilliant!! Apparently I owe the swear jar here so much money I will never repay it and when I am in my sewing room the girls have yelled 'swear jar' at me from the other room a few times.
You should get that fabric printed and sell it - you'd make a fortune.

Emma said...

that swear jar is totally awsome. I so need one of those.

Bugger!!!!
Have you tried "Frixion" pens?? They're made by Pilot, a friend just told me about them and the ink disappears as soon as you iron it. Just like magic!! They're only about $4 or $5 at the newsagent.
Hugs,
Joy :o)

I read on the Yarn Harlot recently that she went outside and layed on the road for a while recently when she did something stupid. LOL

Hahaha -- that's perfect!

squirt the whole thing so they all run slightly?

I'm not sure I approve of such language, and I'm not showing this to my mother. We is refined at my house.

(there isn't a font for stuck up scottish accent, shame)

Oh what a bugger of a thing after all the hard work has been done...

sewtara said...

Well it stinks that it ran like that. But it is good for a laugh!

Don't you feel like such a bumface when sh*t like that happens?

Sally said...

You made me laugh and made my day! Thanks!

Vicki W said...

Doesn't that figure! Thanks for the laugh!

Wendy said...

Oh no, irritating! love the project though, so funny!

Julie said...

Hopefully this laugh of the day will help me to not have to add a quarter to the jar as the day progress and a try to make a #%¥€%#%-oops a quarter-vinyl fireman stupid (another quarter) Halloween costume raincoat.

kelly said...

I'm guessing there were quite a few additions to the Swear Jar at that very moment.

Poor dear -- thanks for sharing the chuckle!

Silver Sisters said...

You should add soem more water and make it look like you meant it!

Is this coincidence? Love it!!!

It is ironic but try using bi-carb in the spray bottle, I'm reliably informed that it works..!!

There are a couple of choice words missing from your jar!

Lissa Jane said...

Oh the Irony!!!!
I bet you could have added a few more words to that jar!!

You know, I was told years ago, if a fabric runs once, it'll run again so you can generally 'save it'.. this happened to me, wash the sucker with an old nappy and voila! no more run/ruined fabric!

Lissa
still giggling... cause $hit like that happens to me, I have a $hit happens magnet!

Kerryanne English said...

Hhmmm.... back in the 70's my mother would have said "Say naughty words and God will punish you". LOL - consider yourself punished Jod!!

Could it have been a more perfect project for that to happen!?!?!?
You wouldn't have had to say anything you could have just pointed.

Tanya said...

I wonder how much your 'real' swear jar has in it!

Jo in TAS said...

I don't see bugger in there, bet it's there now!!

our shabby cottage said...

If you keep squirting water on it, it will eventually disappear. But, I am assuming you have already done that?

Kit Lang said...

ZOMG the irony is hilarious!!!!!

(sorry about your booboo though!)

Susan said...

*snork* My jar could teach your jar a word or 2.

Griffin said...

Oh poo! Damnan'buggerit! Sodding, pen, why can't it just walk like others? Ooohhh no, it's got to run...

I do like that jar tho'... might need one just to keep spare swearwords in... in case I run out.

Ok, that's not entirely likely, 'hem, 'hem!

peppermintpatcher said...

It's practically poetic...

Oh what a fabulous swear jar! Why don't you try something like Vanish powder (do you have Vanish down there?) If you rub some on with a bit of water and then rinse it might come off. Sort of like washing your mouth out with soapy water for saying all those bad words!

Locket x

thetialys said...

I bet you said all these words and more! I love this, even with the little imperfection! I have never, ever seen or heard anywhere else the word 'bumhead'. It was a word my youngest daughter called people when she was extremely cross and obvously thought was a very bad word but it used to make us laugh (probably shouldn't have!). I thought she'd made it up!

Kate quilts... said...

Joke on you or not, the idea is fabulous. Perhaps it's appropriatae the ink ran a little?

oh crap!

This is hilarious! I hope you were able to save it somehow. But I suppose it's even more perfect now.
