and it sucked

This week , that is...On the suckage scale , it was like a supercharged Hoover with extra built -in suck.

But, I'm ignoring it and getting ready for tomorrows garage sale.

A number of crafty friends have joined forces and de-stashed in a big way. If you are local to Ballarat , pop along, it'll be in tomorrows paper or you can email me for some details. There is loads of fabric and wool and buttons and craft books and just about everything!

and Sunday....come hell or high water, come rain , sleet , snow or the end of the world. I am going into my sewing room and I am making toys......

(and just very quietly, present company excluded of course - at that point, the rest of the world can go stuff itself )

  3. I hope your weekend will be less sucky, and that the garage sale will be a huge success for all involved.

I will now, quietly, go do some stuffing. :)

  5. Oh Jodie!
I hope you wake up tomorrow and it all looks much, much better. So where is this garage-sale-o-rama? There's a chance we might be in the rat in the morning and it would be fun to pop along.

  7. The suckage sucked the life out of me last week. I can wholeheartedly sympathise. I was somewhat less quiet - more SHOUT OUT BLOODY LOUD - about telling the world (present company excluded of course) to go stuff itself.

  8. I love it that your 'label' says 'garage sale', 'jodies really got the shits on'. I hope you'll indulge me a little smile in the middle of your suckiness- and not un exclude me and tell me to go and stuff myself.
I hope next week sucks a whole heap less, or better still- not at all.
No where near Ballarat, trying to de stash abit myself...probably good I can't buy your extra felt. I am not very good at de-stashing!
Here's to happy toys on Sunday

  13. Sorry to hear about the suckage - I've been having 5 months of the worst kind of crappage going on over here.

So I really wish I could come along to your garage sale tomorrow to cheer myself up!

  16. I'm sorry about your sucky week. I wish I was closer for your fabulous garage sale, but then again maybe not - my craft studio is bursting at the seams.

Have a great sale and it might just help keep the suckies away.
    Hugs

  19. Big giant suck here, the last week or two. Hope is on the horizon 'though - I'll send some over to Ballarat.

Wish I could send myself over for the sale.

  20. Oh, I love a garage sale, pity yours is too far away. Though there is one in my street this morning......selling fishing gear!

  21. I'm just reading this post now and by the time I get there all the good stuff will be gone (and so will you!)

Hope you manage to tell the world to get stuffed and get some sewing done. Sorry the week sucked so bad.

  22. Sounds like you have taken your bat & ball & gone home. No darling, next week will be better, sending happy vibes (even if i'm not happy & my week sucks i fake it) & yes, a day of sewing softies will bring unsucky sunshine back. Love Posie
PS my word verification is 'cleano' which sadly, is what i'm doing, cleaning bookcases, study nooks, children's bedrooms & loads of washing, maybe i should have taken the children to athletics & be sitting back relaxing with an egg & bacon roll?? Hmmm, that sucks, well back to my suckalicious Dyson.

  24. Hope today goes really well.

I would be there just to look!!! No really!!! Just let me get some cash out ....

Hope it goes really well and that you are under cover eating really bad (but good) things and selling like mad.

  25. Bugger, I hate those really sucky weeks! My next few will be reasonably sucky as I have nearly 300 school reports to write - bummer.

And, of course, it's raining on the weekend here in Ballarat - again!! It was lovely during the week, and now it's grey and drizzly, SUCKS!

I like telling the world to 'go get stuffed' now and again and crawling into a little comfy hole somewhere (usually my bedroom with a good book). Good for the soul I think!

Hope next week is less sucky and more fab.

    Linda. xx

  27. Oh, Jodie, you are the honest girl (at least on the blog!) to tell us about the suckage quality of your week, sorry to be laughing at it. Hope the day shut up in your studio also includes counting up your sales receipts from the garage sale.

  28. Sorry your week was so vile - er, sucky; you were pretty smily this morning so hope this continues long into next week. Hope you enjoyed the garage sale as much as I did; I love my new bits and pieces (even though I really have no need/space for them and will have to destash somewhere along the line...) Garden festival was a washout (literally) for us today but we did have lunch in Castlemaine and mooched around some nice shops so the day wasn't wasted.

  29. Well after the sucky week, I was worried about the sucky weather putting a damper on your garage sale. But alas when we arrived it was booming! And on the Up side I have a million buttons to add to the stash! ha!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Hope the garage sale made you lots of pennies and the destashing successful, only wish I could've been there to increase my stash further!

    ReplyDelete
  31. wish i had have read this yesterday i would have come shopping at you place...and the rain would not have stopped me...... hope you had a garage sale....

    ReplyDelete
  32. Late as usual!! Sorry your week sucked and you even had a day off work :-( Wish I could virtual travel, I would have loved to be there for the garage sale....anything left??

    ReplyDelete
  33. I hope the garage sale was a success - even though I REALLY don't approve of stash busting. (You know you'll need it someday - the only difficulty is that it's sometimes easier to go buy a new one than find the one you already have!) Knitting helped when I had a terrible horrible no good very bad week. And now I have a pair of socks to show for the world wobbling off its axis.

  34. Aww Jodes sorry that it has been such a bad week. Hopefully the universe will see that you have had your share of suckiness for awhile and give you some non-suckiness. Just dont stuff the toys too ferociously, you may put a hole in them. GO SOFTIES!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh damn... I was going to go to that garage sale, but it was too wet :( *sigh* Stupid ballarat weather

    ReplyDelete
  36. .....and what a fabby garage sale it was! Thanks Jod for the chat, laughs and chasing Annie up for a cup of tea!! I'm already making something with a little piece of fabric from my 'little bag of fabric goodness' and two of the buttons have made their way on to Christmas gifts..... Evie did indeed go apoplectic when I presented her with the pink pom-pom trim..... ta muchly!

  37. I love your suckage scale. Even when you are cross, you are charming....and funny.

  38. Oh dear, hope that suckage factor has gone now...suckage sucks!

  39. Begone foul suckage, the sewing's the thing... as Bill Shakespeare very nearly once wrote...

Hope all goes well and your Sunday was full of sewing and no suckiness.
