In retrospect

Because I'm not so much into the crazy hundreds of comments type giveaway, I held a top-secret one recently...
It was so secret that you didn't even know you were entering but if you commented on the last couple of posts , you were entered.

and if you are Jennifer then you are the winner of a Dear Fi
hexagon flower brooch kit

and Cath wins a signed copy of whip-up Mini Quilts by the gorgeous Kathreen which I bought and had signed by Kathreen at the show

see ! personalised just for you Cath ,

and remember when this blog was about made stuff ? Well, I've been slowly plugging away at a make this week. I'm off to sewjourn for the weekend and aim to get this guy finished along with a bajillion or so other projects. I might even cut into the heart-stopping orange wool fabric I bought at Tessuti on Saturday..........

(might)

I just wanted to let you know how much we all love reading your blog. I get to actually read the words, while the little one makes up stories about your pictures - she's currently wondering "why is the nurse with the king" in your one hour softie picture.
Little One has decided that "maybe the king did call for the nurse".

Hope you are having a lovely day. We are.....

that stitchery's looking good, Jodie. wish I could be there when you (gasp, shock, horror) cut into that super-duper pricey orange fabric (or maybe not; don't think I could stand the strain!) Have a great time at Sewjourn.

Hey crazy lady, what a fab life you lead, off to sojourn for another sewing weekend! I hope this one is more productive for you, without all the fans mobbing you and your gorgeous softie family. LOL
Can't wait to see your foxy softie, I'm sure he'll be a heartbreaker, he might even give Ernst a run for his money!
Hugs
Kelly :-)

Sneaky giveaways! That's clever! Away at another crafting event? Do you ever say at home Ms Ric-Rac? LOL

The way to go, definitely. Saves anyone hoping they might win for a month and then having their hopes dashed at the random draw at the 11th hour.

course even better if you are the actual winner - congrats people!

Cheers,
AJ

Now you keep that orange fabric away from my red wine...
and I adore a retrospective giveaway! It's the best way ever to do them.

Have a great weekend! Crafting weekends are always fun catch ups, even if no crafting gets done. (I find margaritas also help said weekends no end)

Those are the best kind of giveaways because it allows your faithful "followers" to win instead of the 8 gazillion who stop by only for something free.

Cass said...

Very sneaky. I'm yelling nooooooooo inside me head about cutting that orange wool fabric

That is such a nice thing to do! I had a 100+comment give away on my blog once - nobody ever came back to read my blog, thats not really what you want...
Congratulations to the winners - I found this blog from a random blog hop - no idea where I came from, I hope you don't mind...
I'll stop by again, you've got a nice place on the 'net here :-)
