His mother invited him over for dinner so he is taking his laundry for her to do! LOL Nah I am sure he isn't.. but I sure hope he comes home - he looks so small and alone in that last photo.
Ernst is gorgeous! He reminds me of the time I had to turn 2 kids into turtles, similar vests interlined with sheet foam for body along with leggings, skivvy and balaclava.
Do you have more fun makiking the softies--which are really works of art--or taking pictures of the softies? Which comes into your head first?
Thanks you so much for the Goodies and Baddies pattern! I've got pieces cut(red pleather for the capes!) and ready to go for 3 each of the goods and bads! They will be pulled out for some fun on the plane trip from Denver to Orlando with my family! 5 kids and 8 adults! I might have to make one for everybody!
I really enjoyed thaw and will look for it again next time!!
When I was little I had a turtle called Tilly who ran away. Well, she didn't exactly run, but she did get the hell out of the tank. Straight into the dam. I always wondered if she was still in there years later, huge, happy & free. Turtles = water. I think the Big E is going to be just fine xo
Oh, the letter was a cry for help from a dear old friend, Ernst is on his was to lend assistance! Definitely the dearest little turtle I've ever seen (I hope there's a pattern in the works)
Ernst does Woody Guthrie! Having been turned down by Magda he is setting out to seek his fortune singing... I ain't got no home, I'm just a-rambling round, just a wanderin' Turtle I roam from town to town...
Either that or he's going to play chess with Death just to prove to Bergman that he can.
Leaving home so soon, is it the heat?? Just a question - do your neighbours know what you do when you set up, follow & photograph softies in the garden & walking down the street?? Mine would all be too polite to ask. Love Posie
Was he heading for the water on this stinking hot day with his budgie smugglers in his back pack? Perhaps not, I suspect that he isn't a turtle for water action
Oh no...Ernst doesn't know how much he'll be missed! I let my son do this one day when we was really really mad...I stood at the end of the driveway watching to see how far he'd go and to make sure he was ok. He turned around and came home--warm bed, food, and eventually he realized LOVE.
LOL - if I were photographing Ernst (or anything else on the ground) our cat would be in every photo. He stands up so well, and I do wonder what is in his sack? Of course, like everyone else, I do wonder where he is going, and trust this story will have a happy ending.
Go Ernst. Adventure awaits. (since he is walking down the road, I have to believe Ernst is a tortois, not a turtle.) I hope he writes a book. "It all began the day I received the letter..."
Miss 8 says 'don't go Ernst'! 'Come back'!... We are just loving this (Bec even left her wii game when I told her there was a Ernst part 2 on my blog) Lisa
oh oh oh!! PLEASE PLEASE have a pattern for this one!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! He can run away to my house! I promise I'll love him and hug him and kiss him and squeeze him...
Jodie I have a small confession. I think I'm in love with Ernst.
I'll break the bad news to Jon later but I'm sure he'll understand. He'd want me to be happy, and Ernst makes me happy.
So Jodie, is there any way we could organise a trade for an Ernst? I have a younger brother who is quite good at menial labour (I'm thinking - cleaning the oven, hanging out washing, picking up cat poo, etc). Or I suppose I could swap you something crafty instead if you'd prefer!
I love looking in at what you're creating! Thank you for inspiring me! There is a little award waiting for you to collect on my blog! Thank again, Marie xx
Oh my goodness...how cute is that?? Love it! :0)
