They say it is the thought that counts
well you are supposed to pull it out of the box........lol..................
Yep! Chookyblue has got a point there... lol!
Hahahahahaha oh how I would love to do this I just saw the trail of fake pine needles the kids have left after putting up our tree.
...and I'm thinking that your thought is "Christmas - bah, humbug!"
Schools over now, so you can put it up!
well if you pull it out the box you'll have to try and get it back in again. I did suggest to a harrassed friend who hadn't put up the tree yet that she should draw one on a bit of paper and stick it up with bluetack. She said the visiting rellies wouldn't go for it.
Just stick a Kewpie doll on the top and fling a bit of tinsel about. Perfect.
Well clean up will be a breeze! :o) We're already dragging tinsel throughout the house. Wishing you peace and joy.
The tree is still in the box and the box is still in the linen press. You have made progress. I shall not be bringing the tree out until Boxing Day and the earliest arriving adult child shall be given the job of setting it up. It doesn't require decoration as it is "self decorated" with its pretty fibre optics and plastic snowflakes and stars. It's bewdiful!!!!I'd go for the tree drawn on the butcher's paper, as per A Peppermint Penguin's suggestion, but like her friend, I think the grandkiddies will be disappointed. But, it does have an awful lot of appeal.
I rolled over, cacked myself and then had to wipe the tears away from my face. Nothing bah hum bug about that effort. you must have spent a lot of time deliberating on what to do this year. You are a funny girl. Thanks for the chuckle! xoxo
and I thought my minimalist effort was good this year...but yours is SO MUCH better! (a friend couldn't be bothered doing her tree this year as she has a tiny house and so no room, they do have a coonara in the middle of the lounge, so they have put all the decorations up the chimney flue, it looks great...hope we don't have a cold snap or they'll be very cold!)Merry Christmas and thank you for the laughs!
Haha too funny- star on top and you are DONE! One of the girls from my sewing group has an inflatable christmas tree (with inflatable decorations attached), she reckons the best part is you can take it outside and hose it off when it gets dusty...
Haha. Looks pretty good.
Oh Jodie, I am laughing so hard I am crying. I agree with the others, just put the star/angel on top and wrap some tinsel or lights around it.At least it will be memorable.
If it's the thought that counts, how about thinking about it...then carrying on as usual?!I've been very Bah! Humbug! Don't have a Christmas tree, for many of the reasons yours is still in the box. Also, as I'm on my own I can do it or not and I choose not to. Food and a few books to read with the occasional bit of telly is enough for me. Then I will be looking for better work again while I wait for my job to start proper. Couldn't you Gocco a Christmas tree design on fabric and hang that up with lights around it? I've seen something like that in a local cafe, but with lights attached to the fabric. The cats will love the wrapping paper and the buzz! Have a fab time anyway.
