Beautiful work! They should be so proud of themselves. I teach kids to quilt. After a week they have a lap quilt to cuddle under. The smiles on the last day go from ear to ear.
My daughter loved the penguin when she walked into the room as I was reading this post. Do you sell these patterns or kits anywhere. She is wonderful at sewing and would love to make one.
I totally agree with Gillian's comment, they are uncannily like their creators! Those young people look so happy, you are a very talented and perceptive teacher.
Thanks Jodie we had an awesome day, Keira's duck hasn't left her sight, or bed! He has travelled around and been introduced to everyone and all agree he is adorable! He now has a Owl playmate, with many more friends arriving soon! Thanks again for re-inspiring the softie in us, we can't wait till next school holidays to see you again and continue to be inspired! Mill Rose Cottage is a Beautiful place to inspire our children, and nurture our addictions!!
Hmm, Angry Birds softies maybe?! These boids look very cheerful. I hope it was them doing the farts and not the kids! If you're not careful, you'll end up a teacher for real and then you'll be sorry!! Or at least someone will. :)
Brilliant! Well done all of you! Once word spreads amongst their friends, I'm sure you'll find you have more days spent stitching/teaching your clever designs (those birds are so cute, btw), while laughing and telling fart jokes. ;o) Kids must love you, Jodie!
And they all look like they enjoyed everying second! Great job encouraging the next generation of softie makers.
