Where am I ?

You may be forgiven for thinking I am over at The Drapers of Mt. Macedon, swanning about a-la-trunk-show

or you may think I am living in the cutest online magazine. (With Kate and Fiona, two awesome Australian softie designers).

but I'm at home, in the dressing gown, coughing.... with less vigour than I was a week ago, but coughing nonetheless.

and yes I am having a trunk show , you know, just like Amy butler...if she were shorter, older, fatter, less talented and living at my house coughing up internal organs .........

yep ! Exactly the same

  4. I think I've gone out in Sympathy for you, I kept my DH awake last night coughing and now my head hurts. I want to go home and curl up in bed! As for the trunk show your gorgeousness and creativity far outshine Amy Butler's any day of the week, even a sick one!!

  13. Well, if you have to cough up something, choose your spleen--you prolly won't miss it! I have no idea what a spleen even looks like, so take pics when it does come up, won't you?

    Love the selvage chair!

  19. Well Locket, having actually met both Jodie AND Amy (first name terms with both of them me ;-) I suggest that one of them would be more funnerer than the other on a girls' night out (or in) (or somewhere in the middle) (or ...)

  22. Eeeek Jodie. Should I be sending the infectious diseases doc your way? He specialises in TB... perhaps you could just post one of your lungs in for examination next time you cough it up.

    Get well, dear thing.

  35. My three kids all had whooping cough last fall and it SUCKED. There's just no other way to say it. My youngest was 9 months old so there was a whole other level of fear and scariness than just the horrible coughing. The kids would cough so hard that they would vomit. So much for that series of four vaccinations, eh? It was awful.

Also, not to rain on your parade, but the cough lingered for MONTHS even after they were feeling fine. Mentally prepare yourself to be headed into October with a touch of this still hanging on.

I really, really sympathize with what you're going through. If there's anything this Stateside Mama can do for you, well, you just let me know.

  40. Oh Jodie...
I can't believe that horrid lurgy is still visiting you...
I wish it would just get on it's bike and take a ride...
Doesn't it realize that you have projects to do...places to go and people to visit...
    Regards...and get well soon...
