Ok, I'm going to put my hand up and say I genuinely thought you had lost your freaking marbles when you bought that god awful looking jacket. I now see it was your genius at work as usual.
Before I post that, I am not talking about the vomit. I'm thinking more along the lines of 'even when you're feeling chundery you manage to come up with the baaaaaaingly creative goods'.
Oh he's superb! I couldn't quite work out yesterday whether you were actually going to seriously think about wearing that top or not. BTW - I was in Gisborne yesterday and spotted a gaggle of Ric-Rac characters in the Patchwork shop window. It was so exciting to see them all there!
I'm in awe of the cuteness too!! Now, at least, we won't have to see anyone wearing that jacket!!! You should take it back to the store and show them REAL art!
So sweet!. That jacket really knew how to speak to you. It wanted to be a sheep all along. Does your lovely new friend have a friend of her/his own? There is a story waiting to be told here..........
Oh Jodie! You've outdone yourself!!! No wonder this post has landed you a whopping 70 comments!! But, are you sure he's not a fox in sheeps clothing...? Just checking.... :D
Aw Jodiepoo, here I was thinking you'd got 'tude and was going to go chillin' with your homies in a white puffy poofffy hoodie... The sheep is cute, almost as cute as me...
Ewe are flocking amazing! Hope the cough, cough, vomit is getting better. By the time my daughter recovered from whooping cough, she was an expert vomiter - discreet, tidy, no fuss. Just think what a skill to have on your CV.
Awwwww. Glad I'm not the only one who sees fabric where other people see clothes! Since you're not feeling well, I won't pester you for a story to go with. ;0)
who knew that such an ugly jumper could turn into a truly delightful little lamb. You are a very talented lady...but we all knew that. glad you are on the mend Rebecca
Definitely the best use for hideous polar fleece I have seen lately. Maybe you could make it your mission to commandeer every single polar fleece in the world and turn them into a sort of sheep army, but a cute one? (Can you guess that I hate polar fleece? My cousin's entire family wears them all the time .. even to FUNERALS!!)
Too damn cute. Did you cut up that unsuspecting jacket? Hey jacket....come home with me....whack. It was so worth it. I bet the scraps can make an entire family.
Please tell me that is going to be a pattern sometime soon - as a kindy teacher I am ALWAYS on the lookout for a suitable "baa baa black sheep" (and surprisingly you can never find a decent black sheep puppet or softie) Please pretty please turn it into a pattern so that it can sit with my other projects in waiting?!? Love your work!
Damn woman, you are FAST! He's (he?) is a-frikkin-dorable.
ReplyDeleteToo cute, you have to make more. Is there enough left over for a small flock???
ReplyDeleteI knew you were feeling a little sheepish!
ReplyDeleteAs if, indeed. Even I knew you wouldn't go that far!
ReplyDeleteAdorable little ewe. Will she have companions? I just saw a 5 month old black Suffolk lamb at the County Fair that was pretty sweet too.
