Is anyone heading in to the Quilt and Craft fair next Saturday the 24 th ?
Being the rather anal librarian type that I am I have organised a little schedule
Depart Ballarat train Station on the 8:13 train
Arrive Melbourne 9:23 am
Meet at Ballarat Patchwork stand (103) at 10.30 am
Re-convene at Amitie (H36) at 1pm so then we can have lunch and check out each others shopping.
How does that sound? Want to come and join us - it'll be the usual Ballarat crafty crowd (everyone welcome).
If you want to meet up - just join us at either Ballarat Patchwork or Amitie- or drop me an email and I'll give you my number if that suits you better.
(please remember that you will need comfy shoes and large bags. I recommend only bringing small axes if you plan to go on an I-met-my-friends-on-the-Internet-killing-spree )
Wahoo!!!!! I'm in...I have my ticket in hand...well, not exactly in hand, more on desk waiting but on Saturday it will be in hand.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow...I'm in...sans the travelling to Ballarat to catch the train bit...see you at Ballarat Patchwork at 10:30!!
Darn, can't remember just where it is I've stashed that axe...will just have to be happy with comfy shoes and large bag for shopping goodies.
Very tempting (the meeting up bit, not the axe bit) - which day? Saturday?
ReplyDeleteAh Jodie, you crack me up. perhaps the would-be internet murderers should consider something more appropriate like a sharpened crochet hook or poison-tipped embroidery needles for ease of transport....
ReplyDeleteI've got my axe ... now can I have your number?
ReplyDelete(Sadly Mr HB is away so probably won't make it ... taking two preschoolers would be worse than taking an axe)
Well I see you have been practising decapitating - Hope to see you there - guess you'll be the one with the sharpened quick unpick!
ReplyDeleteI shall definitely see you there Jodie - I'll be the middle one of three generations - Mum and Clare are coming too.
ReplyDeleteGee i didn't even know it was on. But then again that's not that surprising.
ReplyDeleteso yes I will be there i think on Saturday or Sunday, yay.
um this is a weird comment I am leaving so I will stop now. xo
I'm coming "toot toot"
ReplyDeleteNow, is it Saturday or Sunday? And have you booked your train home or can I tempt you with dinner after the show? Happy to be the driver and provide bed...?
ReplyDeleteWish I could be there, but i have a Christmas in July diner to go too. Have fun and blog about it later x
ReplyDeleteI'm going on Friday, alas!
ReplyDeleteHave fun!!!
Damn , damn , damn ! My axe (and quick unpick ) are so sharp and I won't be going . Damn !
ReplyDeleteSave me a seat on the choo-choo????

are those meringues with chocolate chip eyes. cause i want to eat them. {didnt know you were into that kinky art of making things to eat that look like something else, like a custard dessert that looks like a scrambled egg or somethin'..}
ReplyDeleteWatch out for the axe murderers. I'm wishing like crazy I could be there too. Have fun!
ReplyDeleteSounds lovely. Don't think I can swing another weekend away though...
ReplyDeleteHave fun
Bummer, I wont get there till Sunday. Hope you all have fun though.
ReplyDeleteBummer.... I wont be there at all. Melbourne is just too far away from Newcastle in NSW. Do all have a wonderful day and try to keep the quick unpicks and axes in the bottom of your large bags...there will be too many fab crafty things to buy to worry about going on a killing spree.

I'm going on Thursday, the week-end was booked up really...hope you all Have a lovely time sans axes of course :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, Sharon
I would so like to come with you ... the Melbourne Craft Fair souns fantastic. I was in Melbourne a few years ago and had a wonderful time on NYE watching the firework display. Shame I can't join you on the 24th - a bit difficult as I live in England! I can dream though!
ReplyDeletewhoa you better put the house keeping money somewhere safe.... have fun....
ReplyDeleteI'm free, can you check the train from Sydney to Ballarat!
ReplyDeletedarn another blog meet I miss..........you had better be meeting me in Oct.......keep that weekend free........
ReplyDeleteI may very well be there with a crafty kid in tow
ReplyDeletexxx
I'll be there on Saturday, I'm sure I'll hear you before I see you LOL
ReplyDeleteYes Mrs. Slocombe, I'm free!
ReplyDelete(I know the train from Melbourne to Ballarat can get sent around the houses on occasion but I don't think it will come via SouthWest England.)
Sounds like fun! My family heard me laughing and said, "It must be Jodie." See - they know!
ReplyDeleteThink maybe I should of been a librarian, that is the kind of anal schedule I thrive on!!! Sorry working that day so can't get there, I will be dealing with 30 or so teenage girls all trying to pull the wool over my eyes!!!! Hopefully there will be no axe murderers to contend with!!
ReplyDeleteI will be there too, as by amazing coincidence more than good planning, I will be in Melbourne this weekend and I am now planning to visit the Quilt and Craft Fair. I'm not so sure that I am that organised that I will have any idea whatsoever of the time that I will actually go there.
ReplyDeleteHope to see you there though.
Sounds like a plan Jan!!
ReplyDeletedon't forget to take a detour and visit me at Kelani Stand! I promise I won't pinch your bum!
ReplyDeletegeez I wish I was going, sadly I am visting in-laws in Mildura.... you are going to have 100 times more fun than me - lucky duck!! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to be there (although I'm not sure what day I'll manage to go) - looking forward to catching up if poss :-)
ReplyDeletePoo snotty. (Toddler phrase-du-jour). I'm going friday though :)
ReplyDeleteI am so loving your heads so far. Thanks so much for my jacket pattern too! It was so lovely! Have fun on the week-end
