The week that wasn't

This week I have been sick, sick in ways I never knew I could be. It has been a looooong week but strangely also a short one. I have slept that crazy fevered-dream sleep all week on and off through the days and nights and now I have surfaced (albeit briefly ) to find the whole week is gone, consigned to history and I missed it ! Ooops.

This is cat-bot, made a few weeks ago and somehow only just getting his turn in the blog-light.

He has a small internal wire skeleton to keep him upright,so he's really not a toy. I made him because I seem to be slightly obsessed with robots and with putting hard elements and fabric together at the moment.

He has a little workable knitting needle axle.

and he is adored !

My crafty senses were tingling, I just knew something was amiss and I couldn't put my finger on it. Now I know, it was because the world has been going without the craftings of Jodie while she has been sick and we have all suffered for it. Hail the cat bot. May he bring his creator great health and more hardware and fabric inspiration.
:)

so sorry you have been poorly.. I haven't blogged anything for ages as I haven't been crafting for ages...I got my sewing machine back but my mojo ran away or possibly was kidnapped by ninjas. it dosen't help having H around all the time.. I feel like my head is going to explode as right now he has been non stop with the "mum mum mum mum .. blah blah blah mum? mum? mum? playdough? mum mum mum"

p.s. I have been designing something in my head for those lovely scraps you sent me and working on a vintage book page illustration for you.. but its not perfect yet *is fussy*. the Boy is in holiday club tuesday so I'm hoping to be left alone to craft and write in peace..

Perhaps new ideas came out of your feverish sleep? So sorry you've been ill. Not fun! Cat-bot is CUTE!!! Will there be a mouse-bot for him to chase?

Griffin said...

Yikes! Glad you had a long sleep, not so glad to hear you were ill. Poor you. I suppose the idea of long sleeps was what gave you the idea of the cat! The Cat-bot is lovely, but won't the robot want a dog-bot to keep the cat-bot in order?!

Even in this part of the world we were hearing that the hateful flu had paid a visit to Australia. How frustrating to lose a week just when you're so busy. I hope someone else picked up the ball in the costume department. So glad you're better, and Mr. Cat bot is terrific. :>}
