Today I finished off a new tea set.

This is the "good tea set" , you know the one that only ever gets used when great Granny comes to tea. It lives in a special cupboard, never goes in the dishwasher and is always used at the table with a full set of cutlery. It holds dainty cakes and gourmet meals. It is home to Christmas dinners and starchy, over-rich puddings.

This one is the regular everyday tea-set that the normal folk get to eat off. It is just as happy on the table as it is on your knees in front of the telly. It is happy to hold your dinner, your snacks and your hot-chip sandwiches dripping with sauce.
With the gorgeous and gracious help of Miss Precision (seriously this woman's workmanship cannot be questioned can it Nikki?), this pattern will be available at the Stitches and Craft show in a few weeks. For people who can't make it , the pattern will go into my very neglected Etsy shop just as soon as I have had a little post-show sleep or two.

jodie they are both gorgeous...
i think your attempts were well worth it...
this pattern will be a must....and i think you really will be flooded with offers to put it into a book...
they are both divine...
oh Jodie, they are fabulous! Can't wait to get my hands on that pattern!
Those numerous attempts sure were worth it!!! I love your Everyday Tea-set...it looks so happy!!! Cathy
Ohh my word they are stunning tea sets. Will you think me strange if I say I prefer the every day set? I would worry about using the good one - in case something happened to it - like one of my kids taking a fancy to it and it disappearing on me....vbg. Your patterns are going to be such a success. Well done.
These are just so much fun! I so wish I could come and see all your lovely work and ideas at the show - bit far from Lancashire though!
Love them!! Especially the everyday set.
Jodie, how VERY talented you are!!! I love your teapots, cups and saucers!
They were definitely worth it!
Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous :)
Yummy,Delicious,Touchable,Wantable!

Ah yes - how would we ever get by without Lara's kind-yet-critical eye for details and her amazingly skilled workmanship? Poor thing must be as the EXHIBITORS for this show....
I'm trying not to count the days (she says, still in the studio at 9.15pm on a Friday night.... sewing machine and two computers going.... printing, sewing... pressing... writing.. ummmm....checking bloglines from time to time..?).
I meant to say Lara must be as "STRESSED" ..... so who's stressed now?
They are fantabulous Jodie! And now I'm off to check out Miss Precision! x
Yes, the 'good set' looks fit for mother in law visits and posh friends, whilst the everyday set looks like it would be perfectly at home at the Mad Hatters Tea Party. I lurve them both!
They both look fantastic, can't wait for the pattern
They both look gorgeous!
They are both INCREDIBLE!!!! Can't wait to see the pattern - and the book of course, I mean, you will be starting to write it this weekend won't you??????!!!!!

OMG Jodie! These are wonderful. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for the pattern for sure :)
I want the Alexander Henry one please - you made it for me didn't you? I might even fly to Australia for the show to get my grubby little mits on it, I love it THAT much.
As usual - stunning pieces of art Jodie - although to be honest, I expect nothing less :o)

They are so much fun and just so beautiful. Can't wait to see them in the piece at the show.
Now, will you slap me if I ask where the sugar bowl and creamer are? :)
Cute. Very, very cute!!!
Sugar bowl and creamer I hear Hoppo Bumpo say! What a fabulous idea.
Great work as always Jodie! :-)
DEFINITELY WORTH IT! I'd like to come have tea at your house. :o) Amazingly cute.
how very lovely, whimsical and fun!
i'd love to make a set for my little girl! i'll be watching for the pattern.
fabulous.. but as I'm not really a tea drinker (we I did start out that way, heaps of sugar, gallons of milk and very little tea) I'm not onto the more hardend caffienated drink of choice.. coffee.. so I demand you do coffee cups next.. a lovely little espresso cup! *wink*
they are really georgeous.. what was the final toll for broken tea cups? *lol*
my word verification is "cheste" do you think its trying to say something to me? *is odd and quite happy about it mostly*
Seriously stunning you clever, clever lady. i love the best one... my Mum was given a tea set by my Great Grandma to have when she came round for tea because she would only drink tea out of real china! It's funny because she wasn't rich, or posh, she was just proper!!
Good luck with the pattern.
Coming out of the lurkdom to say OMG! I LOVE this! I can hardly wait to get the pattern. It's wonderful.
just adorable! i'll be waiting for the pattern too for my grand daughter!! thanks
Can't wait to get this pattern! What a fun way to have a teaparty... and no spilling!
they look great!!
oh man! you never cease to amaze.
WOW JODIE! These are really really great! Love it so very much!
They are so much fun... and perfect with a plate of knitted cakes!
Oh hurrah!
I've been wishing for a tea set like that. The dread of going through my own numerous attempts has kept my wish from fulfillment. Way to come to the rescue!
Those are so cute! When you put the pattern in your Etsy shop please mention it in your blog. I'll buy the pattern for sure.

I'm almost speechless. This is so precious, yet practical and beautiful. I love it!
These are incredible. I can't believe you did these yourself! Very cute, would be a perfect gift for my aunt the teapot collector.
i'd be willing to fight for that alexander henry set...do you really think i could make these? how good a seamstress do i need to be? i want to make one, i really do!
Wow they are fantastic! Very very very cool... Well done.
Right, put the kettle on then! Let's have a cuppa!!!! ;-))

sooooooooooooo cute!!! I LOVE them both!
Wow! These are great, Jodie. Can I come over for a cuppa? ;o)
Hmmm, I think some little crafty tea cakes would be a delightful addition. Nicely done, Miss Jodie!
I love the tea sets! But I'm sure if I bought the pattern and followed it ever so closely, I would never be able to make them as well as you. But you do inspire me to try!
Love the tea sets...very posh and very everyday....gorgeous.
cheers Julz

OK, I must have a pattern! Very cool sets, plus I'm too lazy to figure it out myself.
Also, your selvage items are very inspiring! Take care, Carla
They're both fabulous - the birdy set would have been called the 'best' set by my Gran and I love it, but there's something especially gorgeous about the everyday set - I think it's my favourite. Emma x

What a fantastic idea!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!
Just love the teaset. They will be a must have pattern. I'm in Brisbane, so I'll have to be patient until after the show
Gorgeous! I have so many fabrics that would be perfect for this!
I am quite partial to little birdies, it would have a special place to be displayed and protected from my critters. Ella kitty love to steal little stuffies and run off with them.
The every day set would cure the blues on the even the dreariest day! Do love both!!!
Oh Jodie I need when of those patterns. I just bought some Of Timeless Treasures TeaPot fabric line. I think I have some of each design in the line.
