When your head explodes.

So the other day my head exploded.

KERBOOM !!!

It just exploded.
It was surprisingly less painful than one would expect.

One regaining my composure and innate sense of bonhomie, I made a list - oh and what a list it is. A finer list you have never seen, it is the king of all lists.
Other smaller, tidyer lists bow down before my supreme list and quake in their little listy boots at the length and breadth of my all-encompassing list.
My list is omnipotent.
Today the List said to Gocco, so Gocco I did.

All hail The List

  1. the list is wise. I should listen to my list more often.

How is the head now? Any mess?

Did I beat Locket and Moog to first comment? Oh I hope so.....

  3. Ok, so this is Moogs' comment as she has been kicked off her computer by manky sick husband - I rang her to tell her to comment but she can't.

She says she still loves you but she'll have to comment later!

So this is her third comment by proxy!

  9. Hi Jodie,

I found your blog today (can't remember where from but it was a few clicks away from where i started!) and was sad to see after reading through your blog, that you didn't have anything for sale in your ETSY shop...

Will anything be coming soon? I saw a birdcage kit in a post a few months back that looked right up my alley. :)

  14. Oh my word - what have I started with my comment by proxy? Calm down girls. I'm here now, having kicked 'man-flu' man off the computer!!

    Enough of that nonsense.

Hope your head is better Jodie. Did you have 'scrape brains off the walls' at the top of your list?

I'm a firm believer in lists. Really focuses the mind....especially if you actually look at them once you've written them....which I usually don't!!

Hope you get lots crossed off :-)

  17. I have such good intentions with lists. But invariable I lose the list. Which is probably why I lose the plot as well. *sigh*

  20. Listy boots? Where can I get some of those? I want listy boots... ideally before my head explodes.

I love the goccos... even if a certain Jaffa eating mummy got a terrible joke out of it... not mushroom inside...oh good grief! :)

You can fit a toad's stool in there, what more do ya want, eh?

Er, this Supreme List doesn't have, um, World Domination written on it by any chance? Only I had a list with that on and it was spelled Wold Domination, which just isn't the same.

  21. I know how it feels when the head explodes.

The list is fantastic. However my list is in hiding. That comes from have too many list and the main list becomes lost to all.

  23. After swimming for 5 weeks in a fog of school holiday bliss, my senses were awakened after a phone call from another school mum telling me all the things she had done to get ready for the school year, down to naming the socks! I realised in a dead panic that I had done NONE of those said things! As you could imagine A LIST was required. A list quietens my soul, a list sharpens the mind, a list focuses the energy... a list reminds you to get off your but and DO SOMETHING I find!!!
    All hail the list.

  24. Oh, my poor little listy is quaking in her listy boots. But still the Gocco is good!

  28. The best thing about a LIST is that after you have it all written down you can ignore it and go do something else. (It's so liberating!)

  29. Dear Crazy Selvedge Lady and Fi,
May I purleeeease adopt one of the baby lists that your lists have together?

  36. OMG! The stress of going back to school is really getting to you! It's FANTASTIC. See you soon.

  37. First, lovely mushroom and gnome. Very attractive, if gnomes can be attractive, I mean. Then yes, lists are Superior. But a question: of what form are the lists you make? Are they the sort you cross out or the type you check off? I like checking mine off, particularly if they have little boxes to check off/colour in. I can get anything done on my list, even clean toilets, if they have small squares beside them to colour in! But the cross-off type...? I can't.

    ReplyDelete
  38. A good long list is good therapy and when you cross things off it is even better-love your gocco goodies

    ReplyDelete
  39. sounds like the list i compiled the other day. it's for the drawers stuffed with started but not yet finished projects. oh how i love to start a fresh project. very cute little guy there.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nice list! I am immediately crossing 'ironing' off mine and adding something lots more fun!

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am sensing a little confusion here that I would like to clear up. If the list is the type that contains "gotta-do's" like groceries, post office, dentist...then you have to scribble over the entry when it's done. However, if the list contains things to do for fun like: picnic with friends, listen to great music, work on quilt, this requires a nice check mark (in a little box if available). I think when your head explodes it's time to look at the fun list until things improve.

    There you go! You're welcome.

PS - Jodie, you realize that you'll have to tell us about this list, right? I love it: not mushroom, ha ha ha.

  42. love the gocco goodies!! enough words about lists... I can't do without
