I made a wee quilt
and I think its O.K.
I tried hand quilting for the first time.
and I used pearle cotton , 'cause everyone raves about it.
I practised my wonky french knots......
BUT
My little girl has nothing to say...........any suggestions???
You know what ? I don't think having nothing to say will be a problem on Saturday.
Great people are coming and I know Ballarat is kinda in the middle of nowhere, but some delightful Melbourne bloggers are coming along by train and by car and Silly Gilly (maybe that name means something ) is actually driving over from Adelaide and planning to stop at every op-shop she passes.......
Come on , jump on the train, get in the car - it'll be fun and I am even going to cook a cake !!!
( I am using a flourless cake recipe for those of you who may be concerned).

This looks great. I think she should say something subversive like, "What are you lookin' at?"
You have some really cute ideas! Maybe your little quilt girl could be asking a question such as, "What?"
"where's my f-ing coffee?" no that would probably just be me.... H would probably say she needs to be whistling the indiana jones theme tune....his latest obsession.. *whistles innocently and offkey* ahem that would be my influence..

What a gorgeous little quilt! I love the colours, and your embroidery is just lovely. But as for what to say? Looking forward to Saturday, may be back to catching the train again (more crochet time), shall let you know!
A lovely quilt Jodie - so what did you think of the perle thread. It looks fabulous. I unfortunately can't make it on Saturday as I'm working. I hope you all have heaps of fun!
I am horrible at thinking up witty comments so instead I will just sit smugly over here because I know that now you've mad one mini quilt, you will make more. It happens to all of us. It's a DISEASE and you just can't stop! Next comes the mini quilt wall, just you wait and see.

I love this quilt. You did a great job hand-quilting, that can sometimes be rough if you want even stitches. You did swell. Maybe the girl could say, "I didn't do it."
Oh my the saying was going to put is the same as erica "I didn't do it." She looks so sweet and innocent. So how about "it wasn't me."

Um...."Ooops, I farted" comes to mind....or is that slightly uncouth for a little girl who looks so sweet?
If you ask me, I think that girl looks guilty as all hell (well, she has the exact pose that Kate puts on when she's done something naughty). Personally, I think she's saying "Kitty did it". I reckon she's a 'blame the cat' kinda girl :P

I think she's a beautiful but possibly quite rude little girl, so she's saying "get knotted!" (as in french knots of course!)
I was so spewing I couldn't make it to Ballarat - actually, I could've if I caught a 7.30am train from Frankston and then trained it for 3 hours, but I was too lazy. Holiday mode took over, I'm sorry. I am impressed with the Adelaidian! I would have loved to have met You Guys! Trash seems a lot like you - I could have sat back and listened to you two banter all day.

It's a fairly small looking speech bubble so I think she should just say "Fab!" because that would explain everything ( like how fabulous that quilt is!!!! )
