Sketchy in places

My brain is still a little fried from the exhausting crazy pace of the Quilt and Craft show.
I was lucky to share the space with some great neighbours, Melly and Me, Sew well Maide, Amy Kallissa and the Crafty Squirrel.
My favourite booth by far was the Maze and Vale booth. I am lucky enough to be sewjourn friends with the lovely Leslie, and more than a bit envious of her great design talent. We were all located together in a little section especially for first-time exhibitors, and it was great to have friends around to stage a lunch intervention when things got hairy.
I know this is a pretty average round up of such a HUGE event . Loads of people came and say Hi and I apologise if it was all a bit too frenzied for a chat. It was in fact one extremely long set-up day folowed by four days of aching feet, too much sugar and swarms of people. I talked a blue streak and learnt a few things along the way.
( I also screamed blue murder when the toilet paper dispenser fell off the wall into my lap, freaking out not only myself but everyone within earshot)

I won a plaque for "best small exhibit" from some dude who congratulated me, posed for a photo and walked off without ever introducing himself. (I call him plaque man).

  6. Plaque Man was probably too overawed by your abundant talent. and the screaming, he wasn't sure if you'd smile nicely for the camera when the plaque landed in your lap or scream blue murder.

given how wired and tired you were, I think screaming on the loo is a perfectly sensible reaction to be attacked by a toilet roll dispenser

  7. And so very stylish in his orange polar fleece I am very busy and important outfit! Your booth was the best and in our favourite bit of the entire fair. My daughter bought Maze and Vale fabric to make a dress for her little girl and I loved Crafty Squirrel's Vintage Sheet fabrics.

  8. Hello from the other side of the world! Your booth is amazing. The gentleman probably was convinced of his importance and assumed everyone knew who he was by sight. Either that or he was exhausted after his efforts to get this show rolling and realized in his dreams (nightmares) that he had totally made a mess of things and forgotten to introduce himself to anyone.

  11. Not surprised you won a prize, yay, and not surprised you screamed bloody murder at being attacked by a big chunk of equipment, either. Who wouldn't? And I think your mystery man's name is Red, or perhaps, Bob. It's a little hard to read in the photo, even blown up. ;) I'm sure he was crushing on you and all your pretties!

  12. Do we have evidence Plaque Man was actually linked to the organisation of the event or was he jyst some random dude going around handing out plaques bc that is his superpower?

  25. Your booth looked amazing. My sister and I stopped at your booth for a closer look at some of your gorgeous wares but it was too crazy busy to get close enough for a good look. We settled for a business card and found you on here instead. I'm glad to have found you. Congratulations on your debut and your win.
