Thanks Jodie - up 'til now my Swap Buddy was getting ?????? and now she's getting the perfect handmade chrissy gift and if Message Bots are as easy to make as they look so will a lot of other people!
Very, very cute! :) Please give me permission to make message bots for my five brothers...their five wives...my parents and mother-in-law...my goddaughter...my husband and three children. Assembly-line message bot making would be so much more enjoyable than going to the dreaded mall. :)
I think they would make great ninjas too if you made them in black! You make it look easy, sigh, I'm sure there would be some swearing in the instructions if I sewed this!
Fabulous. I shall begin now. My sister in law and my sister and my brother and my other brother and even his wife can all have sweet robots with not so sweet, hintful messages for Christmas. Or am I sounding all martyred?
I bought a pocket bot kit from you at the craft show held at Caulfield Racecourse last year. Our bot is destined to be the lost-tooth holder - a middle man for the tooth fairy if you like - however I haven't found the time to stitch him together yet. My son is almost 6 and a wobbly tooth is on his birthday wish list so I had better get a wriggle on!
What a lovely and generous Christmas gift so, even if I never get the time to actually make one - thank you Oh Talented One for thinking of us, your followers, this festive season.
"Fold up the bottom of your bot" makes me snicker! The message to Sister-in-Law is priceless! Do you have one of these (SIL) too? You do make it look very easy - is it Really that easy? Really Truly?
We come in peace!!! Adorable little robots with silly knobs on their heads. So much friendlier than the Dahrligs. Ooops, too much Dr. Who going on over here. ;0
Nice work - having overlooked the crappy sewing - there's a glimmer of inspiration - but then again the temptation of the message could change Christmas as we once once knew it ....
I dont' know what I love more, the little bot, the commentary in the directions, the asking for tea or the note to sister in law!!!! you totally made my day, which is probably not saying much as I need to go to the aid of a certain big guy who is going to be replacing toilet pipes.......... but you get the idea, I am totally gleeful that I spotted this blog today! Merci beaucoup!!!!
Oh wow, I've just found these bots today and they are adorable and your instructions here have just made my afternoon, (I think the boss has just called the funny farm) thank you very much. Now off to find some suitable fabric.
How could anyone resist their very own Message Bot? Love!!!
