So while I am still suffering a shocking case of EITTTS, I was reminded today that it is not always so.
Sheesh , he's done pretty well for a small town postal duck hasn't he?
Milligan is in this months issue of Homespun magazine and he is in some very fine company indeed. and today sees the last working day of the school term for me, I don't have to be back at work for 19 sleeps. At approximately 3.31, if the wind was blowing the right way , and you were listening, you may have heard the faintest whoop and felt the earth tilt ever so slightly on its axis, as I danced a little fat-lady dance through the library shelves and out the door.
Oh I just love that duck! He has brightened my day!
ReplyDeleteYay for Milligan...he is such a cute duck...methinks a trip to the newsagents just may be in order...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to happen for the start of your holidays. I wondered what that noise was!
ReplyDeleteAwesome little duck! Enjoy the school vaykay :-)
ReplyDeleteYou know... I opened my mag (was in the mail on Tuesday)... and I went to have a flick through it... and disaster struck (can't remember if it was Master 5, Miss 4 or 'the baby')... and I don't even know where the magazine is. My next mission (after the little people are asleep) is to find my Milligan!
ReplyDeletecongrats and happy holidaying!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteHurrah for Milligan.
ReplyDeleteI was going to make a naughty joke about the earth moving but I am far too classy for that. Snort.
The librarians in Qld are green with envy this week..they've still got next week to go! I'm sure Milligan will enjoy a break too after his modelling assignment..coverduck and all!
ReplyDeleteYay for Milligan - and yay for you - and yay for school hols.
ReplyDeleteMilligan is cute...........got the mag but not had a good look thru yet........enjoy the holidays it will be full on here...........
ReplyDeleteOoh Jodie! I just finished drooling over your little donkey and now I have to find more love in my heart for a little ducky. Me thinks that I can.
ReplyDeleteLove that duck!!
ReplyDeleteSo, so, SO envious of the 'school's out' whoopingness. I seem to have a rather opposite reaction to school holidays. Milligan is a veritable postal CHARMER.
ReplyDeleteI love you
ReplyDeletethat is so bloody exciting! yay for you and yay for Milligan! you go girl
ReplyDeleteMilligan is just the coolest duck around ! Enjoy every day of your holidays .
ReplyDeleteCongratulations pretty lady! And have fun for the next 19 sleeps!!!
ReplyDeleteMilligan is very cute!
ReplyDeletecongrats on the hols...I'm on them too (for a week) yaaayyy!
PS:
and as for that EITTTS....you didn't tell me it was contagious! I think I've got it too.....(grooooan)
Happy holidays.....
Julz
I'm afraid your whooping will be drowned out here by the constant chatter of a picked-up-at-2-feckin-thirty-Preppy.....
ReplyDeleteI love Milligan.
I think I have fallen in love with his wee stripey legs.
ReplyDelete*Shakes her bountiful booty* ..there you go I just put the earth back on axis for you ;-) (..and I hope all that r&r means we get lots and lots of posts to read!!)
ReplyDeleteOh so that's what the earth rumble was!
ReplyDeleteA cover mail duck! Well deserved.
ReplyDeleteWe did hear a faint "WooHoo" over on this side of the pond. 19 sleeps is quite a bit of wonderful non-school goodness. Enjoy and give the ducky a chuck under the chin or us.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with Milligans stripey legs.
ReplyDeleteI am jealous you have two weeks off work.
I am sure EITTTS will pass, mine did.
Holidays--the best cure fo E.I.T.T.T.S. 57 more sleeps and I will be doing the same dance, but I'm not really counting.
ReplyDeleteIs that what that was? I thought it was just another change in this ever-changing weather!
ReplyDeleteSince I only work 2 1/2 hours per week, I could hardly get excited about today being the last day of term, could I? But it's only two more sleeps till DD and I take our first real patchwork class and that's exciting.
Congratulations to you and Milligan - well done.
My word verification is "elygobak" - the beginning of a story perhaps?
I can see so clearly, in my minds eye, your happy dance. Yay for holidays. Hope the crafting goes off like a frog in a sock from now on.
ReplyDeleteThat's one handsome duck! I kinda want to take him on a lunch date. Is that weird? yeah, it's a little weird... Wanna know what even more strange? That I worry Reuben would be jealous! ha!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your holiday!!
Go Milligan! I'd like a Homespun sub. Haven't quite managed to justify it yet....
ReplyDeleteGlad you didn't Go Postal before the end of term.
Dancing is bound to cure EITTS.
Cheers,
AJ
eeeek, a postal duckie!!! Well, I never.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your break!!
Congratulations Ms. Ric-Rac -- he's adorable! I think I would have felt the whoop -- but it was probably the middle of the night or something for us!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your mini vacation! Your duck, like your elephants, turtles, donkey's and everything else is completely charming.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo! for Milligan making it onto the front page! What a clever duck! Enjoy your holiday xxx
ReplyDeleteLove him Jodie - another fabulous design - well done!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the holidays!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays :o) Can't make it on Saturday, maybe we can catch up later in the holidays?

Hey, are you famous for your duck being on the front page of a magazine? If so, congratulations! If not, still, he's SUPER cute. You have mad skillz!
ReplyDeleteI Love Milligan! He is adorable, congrats!
ReplyDeleteCool! That whole magazine cover should have just been the duck! What were they thinking? Happy Hols!
ReplyDeleteWoo Hoo Enjoy the break : o )!
ReplyDeleteWill Milligan deliver my homespun?
Oooh, yippee! Milligan is such a cute, I mean hunky, cover duck!
ReplyDeleteWoot! Go Milligan! ♥
ReplyDeleteYou'd better get over your EITTTS and get happy girlfriend. I want to live vicariously through you for the next 19 sleeps!
ReplyDeleteOh, and very nice work on Milligan by the way. He's looking pretty comfy and at home on the pages of that magazine.
ReplyDeleteMilligan? Like the famous typing error as Spike Milligan used to say?! I was thinking Postduck Pat too, but he probably doesn't have a black and white cat.
ReplyDelete19 sleeps! We have all of April... so I may spend my entire pay for the month and go to Paris... and not come back.
I'll save you a place in the Musee d'Orsay as a piece of contemporary art. Jodie Artwork. By Aus.
NEYTTTS then...(Not Everything You Touch Turns To Shit) or the duck would have got it badly.
Love the pic of the two ducks lying front down with rare back view showing!!! Look, no knickers!!
Your duck looks better than the mag duck.
ReplyDeleteJust sayin'.
Nicely done AGAIN, Miss Jodie! Very impressive. Milligan looks right at home there on the magazine COVER for goodness sake - very cool.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your duck! How fun! Congratulations!
ReplyDeletecongratulations! milligan looks fab on the cover of that (rather interesting looking) magazine. Enjoy your hols. x
ReplyDeleteFantastic news both with your lovely duck and school holidays:) I am still hanging on to our finish line which is still a week to go but I will be doing some serious dancing and whoooooping myself. Have a wonderful rest from the library:)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh! So that's what that was. I hope your EITTTS takes a break while you are on holiday! :-)
ReplyDeleteCheck you and the duck out! Can I have your virtual autograph please?
ReplyDeleteMilligan is tooooooooo cute and what a star on the front cover of a magazine. That little happy dance didn't have any effect on Japan did it !!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was just wondering yesterday what happened to Milligan??? Wonderful he is the star of the front cover!! :-)
ReplyDeleteI wanted to thank you for this great read!! I definitely enjoying every little bit of it I have you bookmarked to check out new stuff you post.
