Blatant advertising....

Did you know I'll be "teaching" this pattern at Drapers of Mt. Macedon in May ? In fact I have a page called classes up there under the header so it must be true.

If you would like to join the donkey explosion with Reuben, Etienne and Toulouse you need to book in , sign up or send smoke signals.

Three small French donkeys with impeccable manners would love to meet you.

(and me ? well I'm just mildy fruck out about the teaching thing , but its AGES away so am putting a complete and total meltdown on lay by for now...... )

They are so cute, I would love to come....it is a huge shame I live too far away! I have a feeling a class with you would be a hoot!

Love the donkies.

And aren't you a school librarian? Adults, especially the quilty type, are waaaaay nicer to teach than snotty kids!

Good on you!
I still fancy a grown-up girly size Reuben coat. Any chance of that as a pattern in your spare time?

Don't stress so much, Jod, you'll be fine and everyone will have fun. Trust me, I know - I did a class with you at Stitches and Craft a few years ago and you were great(and SO funny). AND you bribed us with chocolate; as a teaching tool that's surely a winner!

We're on a fire ban at the moment... I cannot do my smoke signal fire. :(

Hee haw, they are awesome. Gorgeous work, oh plenty of time before May, we only JUST had the new year, time goes so slowly. Love Posie (in complete denial we're well into March)

They are the cutest French donkeys I have ever seen! Well done on expanding into the teaching gig - you will be a natural! Wish you were running some over this way:)

My dad always said that "business without advertising is like winking at a girl in the dark - you know what you're doing but no-one else does" You go girl!

All fired up (no pun intended) to send smoke signals but you are a bit too far away to see them. Hope it all goes well though. Have fun.

Cute donkeys but I'm just wondering what they are saying to each other...? I'm sure it is "What's she worried about teaching adults that love what she's doing so much they come all the way to her classes? heee hawww" I only wish I could come too ...but I live in the UK. Maybe your donkeys would like to visit - I can speak French, I'd even serve croissant!

The little donkey coats remind me of the tailor in the 'elves and the shoemaker' 'cos they're just what I always imagined him to make for the elves! I love their little donkey satchels too. I now wish I lived closer so I could go to donkey school too.

You're an incredible woman. It just beats my small brain how you do such amazing, and neat, work. Congratulations. Cherrie

I love the names you give your softies. If I ever have a child or another pet, I am going to have you name him or her. Deal?

The are adorable- such cute little noses and stylish jackets. I love the shoulder detail and the pocket buttons.

Ooh la la! Wish I could be there for the meltdown but it's a bit far. The three French donkeys need a theme song playing in the background, maybe something with acordion like in the movie Amelie...

Those trois amis are so adorable!! I bet you'll teach the funnest class ever - wish I could be there. I'd love to make my own little Pierre.

Hmm, how about letting the donkeys teach in their impeccable French accents?!

If you tell the 'students' (as in we only came to nick a donkey and see Jodie!) how to do it as if you were telling Martians it will be easy... possibly don't mention their tentacles...!

Evalyn said...

It's bound to come up in the class, so let me just prepare you: No girl donkeys? (They would be named Jill, of course.)

Would love to do the workshop but unfortunately it's the same weekend as my bobbin lace group. You don't run it anywhere else do you?

Naomi said...

Shoot! Wish I could take your class. How-to DVD, anyone?

worth it for the satchel alone!!

Another brilliant little critter.
Any plans for another little story? Jake and Ella would love it!!!

Nothing to worry about Jod's - I'm sure you won't make an 'ass' of yourself - LOL

BaHumbug! No classes in Tassie yet!

When are you coming to the US to teach??? I'll spread the word for you!

If you were in Vancouver I would love to take a class from you.

I teach and after the first few times, it's really easy.

Fer said...

Well, if you came to Tasmania I'd be one of the first to enrol!

The donkeys are just so sweet! Thanks for sharing the photos.
You will be fine with the teaching, I feel sure. It is always far more nervewracking beforehand.
Best wishes,
Mandy.

If somebody could just get that dratted Transporter up and running, I'd be there!!

Now I know that Reuben is French... I have to try and find a way to explain to you about a school book from waaaay back when called "vas y gaiment" "Let's be Gay" and The Air Hostess and The Donkey. But I'm really not sure you are going to believe me on this one.

quel dommage.

Locket Pocket said...

Love the names of Reuben's friends! And you will be an excellent teacher - just wish I could be there too! Locket xx

Oh just too cute!!! My little guys watch this cartoon called Trotro (he's a spanish donkey) just adorable. And he's got a girlfriend, I just can't remember her name. I second the request for a girl version... when's the pattern coming out to buy??

Classes cool, I'll be finished markets by then for a bit. I'll have to see if I can wrangle a weekend?

Any one going from Ballarat or Ballan that would like to car pool? email me groobiteam@optusnet.com.au

I'll be there ...can't wait. I have a long held passion for donkeys.

If I want one of these I guess I better learn to speak French.
Oui?

Another fantastic project

Sue said...

Adorable but tell me...does Toulouse have exceedingly short legs?

WendyBee said...

Y'know of course, that you aren't just advertising your class. For those on the opposite side of the globe, you are taunting us. No amount of advertising is going to put a plane ticket to Australia in my purse, so you're really just teasing, tormenting and taunting us! Is that nice?

Will these gorgeous dudes be made into a pattern?- It's a bit far to come for a class from UK...:)
