Its no secret that I loathe actual garment sewing,

Love it !!!

  3. Dear Rueben
Your new jacket and satchel are quite fabulous. I really would like a grown-up sized jacket just like yours.
I wonder what treasures are inside your bag. No doubt, very intellectual material and of course your lunch.
    Cheers

  5. I used to have a satchel just like that one!!! Perhaps I am, in reality, a stuffed donkey. I feel a bit like one today.

  6. I love sewing little clothes, which is possibly why they're such a big part of my plushies. :) The best part is figuring out how to make the clothes functional (so the plush can be dressed and undressed) and as close to "real" clothes as possible.

    Rueben looks really dashing!

  8. I have no idea how on earth you manage to sew something that's so teeny tiny! Not only that, but the sewing is immaculate. Take a bow Ms Ric Rac!

  21. Hey Reuben! You are a cutie. And you should tell your mum all that fiddly mini-clothing detail would irritate me beyond belief. Give me human sized clothes to sew any day.

  31. Dear Rueben, could you please tell Jodie that she needs to quit her pesky day job so that she can spend all her time creating more friends for you, (and maybe some pants? with a hole in the back for your tail?) and and and......

(Doesn't matter to her devoted readers whether or not she can pay her bills - just wanna see more characters like you with the morning coffee!!)

  56. My BIL's name is Rueben, I call him Ruby. He is not nearly as cute as your donkey, nor does he have as much fashion sense.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Perfect for such a handsome guy.
    Enjoy your itty bitty sewing.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Oh my gosh he is totally gorgeous! And the detail, that stitching, absolutely perfect. Well done :)

    ReplyDelete
  59. They already said it. I agree, and then some. Love it all, especially the satchel!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Blimey Jodie, your stitching stands up to the very closest of scrutiny! What amazingly beautiful sewing and Reuben is quite the most handsome donkey I have ever seen :o)

  61. Want this jacket! How hard is it to mug a donkey? He is so on trend in his chartreuse and rust (well, in Etsy world anyway) - in fact all he needs is a moustache and he'd be on the front page every day lol!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Is it wrong to have the hots for a donkey? Now I have typed it - it seems very wrong - I think it usually involves criminal charges! Love him you have done it again.
