I'm totally hamstered

So Monday (with the new skirt ) was quite possibly the highlight of the week. It seemed to all go to hell in a hand basket after that.

I think we need a name for that feeling where you are running as fast as you can but going nowhere......
So I am suggesting "hamstered."
As in , "Man I have been totally hamstered all week."
"Watch out ! That new boss will hamster you"
"I can't this week, it's Hamster central , hows next week?"

So, I've been hamstered all week in weird crazy ways ..but tonight there was small hamsterless window....and although I love you all dearly - you know I do....
That one sweet hamsterless hour - was spent with David

he sent his regards

  3. It's days like that where I sooo wish I was my cat... laying around all day, relaxing, sleeping, eating...
It was a hampster of a week for sure!

  4. Have you just had the Christmas Special then? Any time spent with the delicious David is time well spent. Worth a Hamster of a week for that alone.

  8. How freaky yet strangely hot is The Doctor. I don't think I am going to be able to move on.

  12. Ahhhh, David! I shall miss him so.

  13. Oh wow, I'm going to have to use the word "hamstered" over and over again! By the way, I've already seen the next episode - and it's GOOD. But parting is such sweet sorrow - farewell Mr Tennant.

  14. "I'm Ultra Hamstered."

Inspired by the cat. Although she looks like she'd know exactly how to handle a potential Hamster Situation!

  15. Ah, but here in ther UK he has already regenerated into the next Doctor... but we won't get any adventures from him until the Autumn.

David's version of Hamlet was also on the BBC over the New Year and was pretty good. A bit too rational and not nearly emotional, but still pretty good.

Still think Jon Pertwee was the best Doctor Who so there.

Lucy, put him down and behave yourself!

  16. From now on you'll have no idea whether we're coming back for the fab softies or skirt ruckuses or merely to ogle Mr Tennant.

  17. yes everything stopped in this house for David too and as much as I love him I do love John Simm even more so I was VERY happy. Next week when it ends there will be tears I know and how can it ever be the same without David, I can't cope already

  18. "Hamstered" is the perfect adjective - describes my life with two teenagers perfectly:)

  19. Hamster is in our family vocabulary! But I think I am going to use it at work so that it will be in general usage.

Tom Baker is still my favorite dr. I only catch Dr Who at my parents' house but I still love it!

  20. Oooh baby -- you and David and just in time for Valentine's Day. You crack me up! I'm heading into Hamster Central this week -- will have to work until 9 or 10 several nights, so I'm going to be just a wee bit grumpy!!!

  21. Ahhh! David! :) I actually just finished an embroidery of him and the tardis not too long ago (posted on my site.)

Hamstered - I've had those days! Hope next week is much calmer for you!

  22. ohhhh David.
How I wish you could relieve me of being hamstered this week!
    Maybe Netflix?

  23. I think we are going to have to have words. He told me he was going out - to a knitting conference! I should have known it wasn't true.

Sorry about the blasted hamsters. With D & V in the house we have a spot of wheelage too.

  24. Wow! He's cute! Here in the states I am celebrating Abra-Hampster Lincoln's birthday. Not as much fun as you are apparently having. Update necessary.

  25. Looks like there is a total rash of hamsterism going around! Great expression for how I feel lately, totally hamstered! (My friend and I used to call it - stop the world, I want to get off syndrome)

No hamstering for me today, I plan to really partake in a day of rest.

  26. Hamstered is absolutely going into my vocabulary. I love it.

  27. No David here in the US. We always seem to have to wait for the rest of the world first. Darn.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yep, "hamstered" certainly works for the condition you describe: running, running, running and going nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I spent that hour with David too! Feet up, glass of wine, drool.....

  30. Mr T was pretty cool in his Casanova days too! This youtube says it all!

  35. Mmmm, David. Followed at our house by an hour of Hugh Laurie, so all in all, a good Valentine's Day!

  36. Hamstered! I like it and I'm sure I'll use it, especially at work. Thank you.

  37. Love it. Hamstered. Perfect. I can see that little wheel spinning faster and faster, even as I'm saying it! You just have to watch out for the mean hamster who comes along and puts a stick in your wheel. That's no fun at all :-)

  38. Love the word. Love that Tennant man. Damn, I'm going to miss him. Life will definitely be hamsterish when he's gone...

    ReplyDelete
  39. oHhh, I missed it...totally hamstered :(

And John Simm was in it too...love him too...not quite as obviously gorgeous as David, but there is definitely something about him :)

ANyway DH assures me a friend has the episodes...he better have LOL

Hope next week the hamster runs away LOL

    Hugs,
    Sharon

  40. *snurk* I'm not bothered about Mr. Tennent as an actor (he is too skinny) but as the Doctor...omg he is just too infectious for words.. I will miss him. *sobs*

right I suppose I should go and try to take my mini sewing machine apart so I can see if it is fixable.. I'm handy right? *doubtful*

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh yes he's so yummy!!! I have my doubts that the next Doctor will be as good.....

I thought you were going to put a picture of Richard Hammond there, he's the ultimate Hamster!

  42. Hamstered?? LOVE IT!! the week I have had at work, is more slothered (aka sloth like) I have had a bit of a holiday at work this past week, seems cheeky to put in my timesheet I've been that lazy! LOL Was going to have a rostered day, but thought why not go to work and faff about???

I must admit, I have a liking for the OLD Dodgy Dr Who's.. I mean, the knitted scarf and the darleks made out of light bulbs.. its so crap its wonderful!!! I never can see maggots without thinking of the 'killer ones' on Dr Who... *sigh* mispent youth watching Daggy Dr Who with triffad plants, dodgy darleks and killer maggots..

  43. Ooh I like David too. Don't blame you at all!

Oh, and I can't believe it. Only YOU have the power to make people start using the word "hamstered". How many times has it been used in your comments? Oh Jod! xo

  44. The BBC had a bit of a David Christmas, he popped up on loads of other shows as well as Hamlet. He hosted "Never mind the buzzcocks" a music quiz and that was very good, Catherine Tate was one of the contestants.

  45. Great word! It's been hamster central here too. I hope this week is better for you than last week!

  47. yep. hamstered.
i read this to my husband and he said, "i like it."
    i do too.
not the feeling of being hamstered.
but having a name for the feeling.

you made me smile. again. :)

  48. Interesting, nicer to same "hamstered" than "that's life" as some people never seem to get bogged down or stuck.
Not sure i get the David Tennant love everyone has, i find him as Dr Who painful (yes daggers aimed at me) & total over acting. I like him in person, he was great on The Graham Norton Show last week (aired in Canberra). I was never into Dr Who - i grew up with my siblings enjoying Tom Baker, but not me, not a Sci Fi girl in any sense. Oh no, am i banned from the Ric Rac comment list now?? Sorry Jodie, love Posie

  49. Well, I'll be hamstered!!

Just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  50. I like it! It suits the feeling of running round and round and never getting anything done, as if you were in a hamster wheel.
David Tennant - hmm! Can't help feeling there's something slightly weasly about him, I prefer john Sim myself, did you see Life on Mars? - but Mr. Tennant did make an excellent Dr. Who and, by all accounts, a brilliant Hamlet!

  51. Thank goodness for the likes of David when you have had a week of hamstering hell
