So the stitch selector no longer shows up very well,
and there is actually a little wire doodad missing from here,
she may be wearing an old bit of tape from a long ago reminder
and she has the odd ding and scratch from the time she did a triple somersault off the back seat of the car
but she is home
and she completes me.
AAAaaahhhhhhh!
ReplyDeleteCouldnt have said it better. I hear you sister.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking there'll be a very relieved kitten!!!
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel Jodie!! When I look at her I think of mine and get a warm gooey feeling in my tummy.....ah, for the love of sewing...
ReplyDeleteI hate it when they don't run right, but I hate it more when they are away :-(
ReplyDeleteGlad she's back home!
What a warm and cozy feeling!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo happy you are back together!!!
ReplyDeleteGood news Jodie!!
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful. I am in the process of buying my very first sewing machine so I'm hoping our relationship can be a long and happy one like yours :)
ReplyDeleteI HAVE THAT EXACT SAME MACHINE!!! sooo cool! and what's even cooler is that you have the same machine and you live in australia and i'm in the US!
ReplyDeleteI too am happy she is home - you can stop twitching now and get sewing.
ReplyDeleteWhen I look at her I think of mine
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for you both and I want your cat!!!
ReplyDeletewelcome home, does she has a name? still excited???
ReplyDeleteTHANK GOD........was starting to worry for you.........
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised you managed to stop and blog about it! Glad it's back!!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home Hippo ol' gal.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's nice to be home and feel loved again.
oh, she looks very well rested. Welcome home, old girl. Now get to work!
ReplyDeleteHow nice. Now you can put away the 'Temazapam' and Valium' and your family and co-workers can come out of their respective hiding places ;-)
ReplyDeleteYikes! A triple somersault off the back seat of the car?!! Clearly, as sewing machines go, that's one tough old bird. She can be excused an illness now and then. Also that smitten kitten can go back to exploring. By the way, hope you have some wine in too.
ReplyDeleteI get mine back tomorrow, a later model of your machine. I love Janome, only machine I've sewed on! I have borrowed my sisters, but mine is worth waiting for....
ReplyDeleteGlad she is home sweet home and ready for some action!
ReplyDeleteWhew. You never realize just how integral they are, til they are gone! Happy day it's back!! :D
ReplyDeleteOh how fab to have her back!!!!
ReplyDeleteLucy x
So glad the patient is back from the horsepiddle. I was worried about you and your sanity. Well, I know you don't have the full quote of sanity anyway, but you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteOh and in case you think I'm insulting you - you have waaaaaay more sanity than me, so I'm a fine one to talk.

You are so kind to yours. My old girl, Ms Jones, is getting really arthritic, and I asked Santa for a new one. Now I feel mean. If you want to take a look at the mean letter you can view on my blog. (Not too subtle plug there sorry)
ReplyDeleteGlad that place in your heart is filled once more!!! :)
Amen.
ReplyDeleteAwww bless her - so glad she's back where she belongs :-)
ReplyDeletexxx
Aww, thats cute. Glad youve got her back. I bought my first machine earlier this year and love her to bits. Before that I was using my Mum's machine which is older than me!
ReplyDeleteHi.i tried to email you privately but for some reason it would not work!!sorry
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you would be interested in having a stall at the Yarraville Christmas Market which will be held on saturday the 13th December.
If you are interested,or know anyone else who makes handmade, funky items, let us know and we will send out more details.
Hope to hear from you very soon.
Cheers, Lou
Oh my sewing machine is my best friend and a gift years ago from the Grammy who taught me to sew! I can't bear the thought of ever bing without my sewing machine-so I know what you mean! There just is no replacement.
ReplyDeleteI too was missing that same dobob thingy but thanks to a repairman it is back! Happy sewing!
~Tam :D
EXCELLENT!
ReplyDeleteI love my machine just as you do yours.
Enjoy her return home!
Aah! Welcome home Hippo old girl!!
ReplyDelete(word verification is pitypoo!!! hee hee!!)
Alrighty then! What's next?? My first thought was the same as Griffin's. A triple somersalt off the back seat? AAK. I hope the cat wasn't in the car to hear those words.
ReplyDeleteIt is not about quantity, but quality and this baby obviously has it in spades.
ReplyDeleteIts sew easy with a Janome!!, I know how you feel. It could sit idle for weeks, but the minute it needs a service, You feel like your arm has been cut off.. PS.. Go the doll patterns, I would buy one for sure..and its true, you have the wackiest word verifications.. almost dejavu like!
ReplyDeleteI have the very same machine!! I do love it but also miss my old new Home model 444. a heavy duty work horse but I just could not lift it any more. I am sorry you hear you cannot see the stitch selector very well, I can hardly see mine now!!
ReplyDeleteI have a Janome QC too...but a newer computerized one...I love, love, love it....
ReplyDeleteWhile my machine has no name (and I need to correct that soon), she was in the shop for her tune up and I needed to do a lot of sewing on a loaner. I felt lost and out of sorts until my baby was home again.
ReplyDeleteGlad you've been reunited.
We sewers do have a personal relationship (love/hate) with this little lady, don't we? I used to have model MUCH older than this one...... :-)
ReplyDeleteWarm blessings,
Spencer
