Normal and boring - a giveaway

Hiya,

You know, there is no real news to share - which is great. A bit of normal and boring is good don't you think?
I thought I'd pop in and share my favorite print from Bug City.

This print is called collection. I love the order of bug collecting and the labeling and the tidy rows - I do not love the killing things bit. This print was my take on a bug collection. I popped a bit into a cheap frame and it looks awesome with the bonus of not having to kill actual bugs.

Blogger has decided this photo is next, so this is today's prize - to be in the running to win 4 FQ, 4 patterns and a pin just tell me what you would use this print for.

Blogger would now like to show you this fantastic hat, made by my friend Bec who used to blog at Beccasauras . Now she is on instagram as becsibbi.
This is a pattern from the always awesome Nikki of You Sew Girl and you can now get her patterns from her Etsy shop !

So there you go friends, with bloggers 'help' we have another disjointed but vaguely informative blog post.
Please leave a comment and let me know what you would use this print for.

  1. Not very original, but a bug in the bottle block to make a big floor cushion for the reading corner at school. Love the vibrant colours against the white background.

  2. SO fun! I’d make something for my daughter. She love bugs!

  3. I'd make snack pockets - I know some children who would love to keep their morning tea in little bags with bugs on. Kids are great like that!

  4. I rather like your framing idea but, because I'm cruel, I'd make a cushion and put it in with the cats and watch to see if they would try to kill fabric bugs.

  5. Boys would love it in a quilt.

  6. This would be fun as a doggy quilt. Monty has several areas where he likes to sit, and special cushions and blankets in all of them. Thank you for a great giveaway. x

  7. Oh I love that print! It would be great for some fussy cutting! I'd probably make a plain coloured dress or vest for my daughter and use the fat quarters to make the pockets and collar.

  8. Love all the comments above, people are so creative and inventive. However, I would make my science nerd great niece a backpack that she would just adore, and I would be her most favourite great Aunty!

  9. Oh, my goodness!! These prints are so colourful and fun and summery. A picnic quilt, or liners for baskets & lunch pails to carry all your goodies, little napkins...SO cute!!
And I really like Sue SA's comment - these prints belong in schools & preschools, so that lots & lots of little kiddies can enjoy them. Big, squashy pillows for the book corner, tea towels for kitchen play, "insect identification chart" wall hangings for the science nook...
Once again, absolutely adorable designs. You're just so awesome!! ;)
