I have started writing the pattern for the little wooden friends.
I bought the most awesome button shaped tins
Winterwood have new felt colours for 2014. I wish you could see them in real life, that dark one is the most beautiful dark teal.....
And I almost made a real-life-sized garment that actually fits me.
( OK so that was 2 weeks ago and it still doesn't have a neckband but you know, now that I know its possible, I have lost all interest.)
there is nothing wrong with blogging about the weather, Jodie! It's bleeding hot here in The Rat, and we had a small shower of rain out our way here a little while ago and it has made it sticky and the air more oppressive. Revolting. Two heatwaves in one summer in Ballarat is just unbelievable. Not impressed. If I wanted this kind of weather, I would have stayed in Bendigo.
ReplyDeleteHowever, now that I've got that off my chest, love ya work! Those bunnies are gorgeous. I also know what you mean by losing interest.....
The bunnies are awesome of course! And you know where I am for harshest of pattern editing when the time comes ;)
ReplyDeletelovely jods, lol, hope to see you wearing your new top.xx
ReplyDeleteput the neckband on and wear it.
ReplyDeletenow.
ok not now, it's bedtime, tomorrow now.
weather is wet, windy, cold but no frost, no snow and mild for January/February.
I'm sure you'll come up with something teally good for the new felt.
I don't like my new laptop. I want my old one back.
at this rate of (non)production I'm going to miss Mothering Sunday this year, again.
Great work Jodie! I don't know whether or not to talk about the weather either! Bunnies are so very very cute, Love the new colours, leave the top for now, Where did you find those darling tins?
ReplyDeleteDon't lose interest in that top...it looks great. Get it sewn and get wearing it! I saw this link via pinterest the other day. Not sure whether it will get you sewing again...

Love those wooden dolls!
I'm playing marionette dolls in my mind after seeing your boy and girl. Their body fabric is perfection. Bunny squeals!!! I made a pair of flannel PJ pants in a day and I wear them. :o)
ReplyDeleteA guy at the grocery store this afternoon was wearing ugg boots and fleecy track pants. It was about 45. Maybe when it gets to 50 he adds a jumper?
ReplyDeleteLoving your posts! Your blog always cheers me up.
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! I love that you lost interest as soon as you found out it was possible!! X
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing that top on! I love a warren of bunnies.
ReplyDeleteLoving the look of your new characters and will be stalking you for the pattern :) maybe in the short term I should be sourcing that wood grain fabric :o) hugs
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one who looses interest when I know it's possible!
ReplyDeleteLove the dolls - and the bunnies - and the felt - and the button tins. Don't fret about that neckline; it once took me two years to finish a dress I made in gorgeous Liberty fabric when I couldn't face doing the hem (pathetic, and I loved that dress when it was finished. Me wearing a dress - that's one sight you'll never see, Jod!)
ReplyDeleteAll creations look fab. The tins are AWESOME. The weather will do whatever it wants whether we want it to or not and we can't help that.
ReplyDeleteTry to finish the shirt - I'm sure it will look better on you than the manequin.
It looks like you could wear it without a neckband if you really can't be arsed.
ReplyDeleteooooh, loving those bunnies. Is this going to be a pattern for sale?
ReplyDeleteBunnies! The only thing cuter than two bunnies is a dozen bunnies.
ReplyDeleteI love the woodies!!! Love them so beautiful and clever,I love the inside of your head.
