I’d like you to think of me as a swan, calm and elegant, gliding smoothly through the water
while in reality, underneath, out of sight, my knobbly little angry swan legs are paddling like crazy to stay afloat.
(It is a good crazy kind of crazy folks so don’t worry.)
love the yellow rhino fabric! It is very cool!
ReplyDeleteSwanning is so not in this week!
ReplyDeleteHope the legs get a rest soon.
Enjoy the crazy
The rhinos are clearly off for some splendid adventure all of their own. Enjoy your own paddling, it sounds like you are being very creative and feverishly making something special which we will all hear about in due course. It is nice to know that they toys are busy in their own way too.
ReplyDeleteYou always manage to sum things up so perfectly Jodie. Keep paddling! :)
ReplyDeleteShow and tell tomorrow
ReplyDeleteI've always used the analogy of a duck but a swan is much more eloquent, er, elegant!
ReplyDeleteI have always thought of myself more as the ugly duckling - but swans are so much more beautiful - although I think it is probably a good thing I am in Australia - I could never keep all that white perfectly clean, I would end up looking like a sloth swan, moldy green and grubby!
ReplyDeleteLove the rhinos still. Hope they are behaving.
I'm running about like a headless chicken. without that actual running about, that would be way too tiring.
ReplyDeleteYou have knobbly little legs?!! Surely they are long elegant legs...wiv bovver boots to keep the kids in order! Of course crazy is good...it is, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteOh! Rhino softies. Now you've really done it!
ReplyDeleteAnd to think that 'swanning around' is made to sound so languid!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what the frantic activity is about. I hope there is also news on the Eloise and Jude front (in our case, Jinxy!)
Cheers!
Hmm I'm sure I noticed a definite swan like appearance about you when I met you. Of course that was a couple of years ago so anything could have happened since...lol. Keep paddling and when you find the secret to staying afloat let me know. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to look relaxed, but the reality is that I'm so stuffed trying to keep up, that to convince others all is well, I have taken to lying on the lilo with a 'calm' look on my face. The reality is that I know that at any minute, someone is going to come along and tip into the water, where I will sink to the bottom because I can't find my floaties in all my mess. I would rather be a swan like you.
ReplyDeleteWhere do the rhinos fit in? I guess they also have knobbly knees!
ReplyDeleteThat is so spooky. Mr. Tialys said exactly the same thing to me last night when he phoned me from the U.K. where he had to stay over last weekend. Unfortunately, he is not doing gorgeous things with rhinos but is 'implementing a system'. Don't ask - I don't.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather not think of you as a swan...some of my earliest memories are picnics at Lake Wendouree (freezing cold) and the swans hissing at me! Chin up only 9 more weeks before you get more holidays/pattern writing time!
