While I sneak off for a long (and much needed) weekend at sewjourn, I thought I would leave you with a pretty picture.
This is the bag I designed for Homespun magazine, using Amy Butler’s Lark range of fabrics. It has a back pocket and magnetic clasp and the front flap is covered with PVC.
My lack of organisation is freaking me out a little bit, I am usually packing coordinating threads into carefully sealed project specific zip lock bags for weeks before a trip to sewjourn.
This morning it looks like I have simply thrown the whole sewing room into the car.
If I were not stopping in at a few shops along the way, I could very well be tempted to travel in my dressing gown.
Have an absolute ball Jodes - I know that you will!
ReplyDeleteHappy stitching, Jodie - have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletereally the people I see out in their PJ's in my town you really don't want to go that low........trust me.......get dressed.......enjoy the shops along the way and have a wonderful time...........
ReplyDeleteThe bag looks great! Have an awesome weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou make me laugh, Thank you.

ReplyDeleteGreat bag. Working on a homespun project this weekend too. Have the best weekend Jod
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time, the bag is delightful.
ReplyDeleteWho cares what you packed - have a ball Jodie!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful time!
ReplyDeleteI hope you haven't forgotten anything vital - like the power cord for your machine...
ReplyDeleteAmy Butler hangin with RockStar Jod!
Perhaps what you need is a Dress DressingGown - like military uniforms have a Dress version...
Or maybe start wearing clothes everyday, then you'd be less likely to forget...
Have a blast! I know you will.
So wear the dressing gown...then say it was one you made a while ago. It's a long shot but it just might work. I should probably stop eating this much chocolate now.
ReplyDeleteHave a fab time and lots of giggles with wine.
Have fun!
ReplyDeleteMake or buy a kaftan lined with flannelette, throw on leggings and boots and you will be as comfy as if in your dressing gown, but socially acceptable in the street! Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteI love your bag!!! Which issue will it be in for those of us who don't have easy access to all the wonderful Aussie mags? Have fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great weekend. Missed you today.
ReplyDeleteSounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the dressing gown. At least you'd be comfortable.
I often drive in my slippers because they keep my feet warm and I don't get tired either.
Hope you didn't forget anything vital!
enjoy.
The shops have probably seen MANY women in their dressing gowns...have fun! ;p
