ReplyDeleteWas planning to mosey on down on the weekend to enquire if Little Red had made an appearance there yet....but I would do a little happy dance if you saved me a trip!
I loved this doll when I saw it in GJ's discount fabrics today. Amazing. Was just what I was looking for to add to my daughter's room which has a Little Red theme. Definitely will be making it. Janine
ReplyDeleteBeautiful doll! My daughter went to school as Red Riding Hood for world book day recently. Except she went as the version from Roald Dahl's poem, with the great line about whipping a pistol from her knickers and shooting the wolf! Rosie had a wolf-fur waistcoat on under her red hooded cardigan. My favourite fabric place is this http://www.thebramblepatch.co.uk/
ReplyDeleteThey are so gorgeous!! I have recently discovered Under The Mulberry Tree in Ferntree Gully!
ReplyDeleteThey are soooo cute!
ReplyDeleteI loved Funky Fabrix in Brisbane but I don't get into the city much...I also love Patchwork Angel on the Sunshine Coast.

ReplyDeletewould LOVE A little red. thank you jodie. x
My fav is Crafty Planet in Minneapolis.
ReplyDeleteI haven't branched out to buying really nice/fancy fabrics yet so I haven't gone looking for small fabric shops.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm giving a shout out to Joanne Fabric's REMNANT BIN!! I find so many fun things there that help me build up my skills so I can move on to nicer (more expensive) fabrics.
(love your patterns, by the way)
I work at my LQS, www.thequiltbarn.com.
ReplyDeleteWe have to carry this pattern!!! With 3 girls I'll have to make 3

ReplyDeleteThose Reds just charm my socks off!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is an online fabric store - Pink Chalk Fabrics located on Bainbridge Island, Washington, USA. They are so helpful and friendly and keep a wonderfully current blog.
I live in Sweden in the middle of nowhere so no fabric dealers here. I can however share my favourite online fabric store :)www.fabricshack.com Cheap quilting fabric and excellent shipping cost and time.
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed your blog since I found it, so thank you!
Really love your little red aswell.
I wish I had a LQS. The closest shop is 50 minutes away and is called Cotton & Chocolate in Thousand Oaks, California, USA
ReplyDeleteDown here in Miami, FL I need to get online for the good "designer" fabrics like those featured at Fatquartershop and equilter. I don't get to "feel" my way around like the rest of the world. Joann is all we have.
ReplyDeleteBut I would love to try out a "little red" as a craft corner companion!! Even if I can't meet her in person...
Jodie your clones are so cute!!

ReplyDeleteOh, my, Jodie, I have been waiting for you to be done with this pattern! I really like Little Red. I don't know if the giveway is good outside of Australia, but if so, I am very fond of the Textile Mill is Greenfield, Massachusetts.
ReplyDeleteHellllooooooo yourself! No surprise here, my fav dealer is Ballarat Patchwork, followed by Mill Rose Cottage in Ballan. I do also love my interweb locals, fat quarter shop, hawthorne threads and alike but 90% of my (husbands) money stays local :)
ReplyDeleteMy local is amitie and every now and then I pop over to Patchwork on Central.
ReplyDeleteMy LQS closed :( so now I order online. My go to shop is Fat Quarter Shop because they have everything and their service is amazing. They're always so friendly and helpful and when you get your package it's so pretty you just know it's full of good stuff.
ReplyDeleteSoooo cute. My favourite store is Amitie but it is no longer a local... I am very lucky to have Cotton & Color as my new favourite local store here in Basel.

ReplyDeletePeriwinkle Quilting in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada is an awesome fabric store and my local shop :)
ReplyDeleteMy local is Ballarat Patchwork - such a cute and colourful shop too. Unfortunately, I can't go in there as often as I would like as I always find too many lovely things I need. ;) There is usually some gorgeous toys in there too, of the Ric-Rac variety. :)

ReplyDeleteJodie, I would also like to congratulate you on your contribution in this month's Australian Homespun Magazine. I was thrilled for you when I saw that you were one of the 'chosen' contributors. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHi Jodie
ReplyDeleteI love going to Ballarat Patchwork. Emma and Karen have been so helpful to me since I started on my quilting and softies journey.
The ranges of fabrics, patterns and samples are sublime. The classes they conduct cater for all skill levels. They also have guest instructors such as yourself and Natalie of Cinderberry teaching the skills of softies and stitchery. A great place to go!
The Remnant Warehouse, Alexandria, NSW.
ReplyDeleteThey have an awesome range of quilt fabrics and just as much fashion fabric, so this is definately a shop where a girl is in heaven.
congrats on another fab pattern Little Red looks so sweet. My local patchwork shop is Pioneer Patchwork at Narellan, the staff so friendly.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your photo of all the Little Reds. So adorable! The Bernina Store in Twinsburg, Ohio has some gorgeous fabric. I love to buy fat quarter bundles at Hobby Lobby in Macedonia, Ohio.
ReplyDeleteJodie - those doll are just adorable! What alot of work!
ReplyDeleteMy local patchwork shop is Riviera Patchwork in Bairnsdale - and luckily for me she holds almost all of your pattern range. Its the most fantastic shop - beautiful fabrics, great range of patterns and a wonderful area to hold classes too.
I don't know....that many Reds in one room is a little too Doctor Who. They are cute...just a bit scary in mass. ;p
ReplyDeleteI have lots of favorite shops, but my local is Tricia's discount fabrics ( Adelaide) where the prices, service and variety are fantastic. However I also like to support Perriwinkle Patchwork (Warrnambool, VIc), because Ann is a great friend and is fantastic with colour, I have often brought over the phone ( she now has a website for online purchases) and she always gets the colour right when i am search for something specific plus has a good collection of patterns. Love Ms Red, bet you must be glad to cross that job off your to do list!
ReplyDeletePS chooky blue has great instructions on her blog re reducing spam and turning off new double word verification.
Little Red is so cute, I have to put her on my to make list that I hope to get to sooner rather then later. I'm going to give a shout out to Pacific Fabrics out here in Bellevue Wa. Though I love when my friend mails me her fabric extras!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite has to be the craft depot, right in the heart of pennant hills :) they always seem to have what I'm looking for, and I'm constantly finding surprises!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I have just returned from visiting Little Red at our favourite shop Ballarat Patchwork (hello there neighbour!!) Those boots...gorgeous....and the veggie basket....soooooo sweet! We just wanted to take her home (but Karen wouldn't let us)!! We'd love to make our own Little Red :0)
ReplyDeleteAmazeballs!!!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish I had a decent fabric shop anywhere in the vicinity of my suburb... alas I do not.
Miss Red is gorgeous! I am always amazed at the detail that you put into your work and she is no exception. My favourite store is Rainbow Patchwork in Lismore. It is a new store and have a great range of fabric. There is always something new in and keeps my creative side happy. They also have a great quilting machine that fit my king size quilt on it, giving it a beautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteMy "local" is The Patchwork Apple (which unfortunately has scaled down to only opening 2 days a week) I have met so many lovely friends through time spent there (and learned so much too!!!)
ReplyDeleteGee Jod, look where all your gals are from. Hey next time were in the UK/USA or Canada we could pop into a few!!!

I love Tricia's Discount Fabric in Adelaide.
ReplyDelete11 Price St Melrose Park SA 5039
It is a fantastic shop with a great range of fabrics. I love this shop and at times wish it was closer to me but realistically it is probably better for my bank account that it isn't.
My favourite is Ballarat Patchwork. Emma, Pam and Karen (occasionally referred to as Sue by me when having brain bubble moments)all provide great advice and service. I love the store so much, and visit so often, I am almost afraid that I may be seen as a stalker! As you know, they have great fabric, wonderful patterns (including yours) and run a wide variety of classes that accommodate all skill levels and tastes. Do I sound stalkish? I am starting to worry myself now!
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern!!!! My favorite spot has to be Fabric Depot in Portland, OR. So lucky to have a spot so close!

ReplyDeleteGreetings from the Sew-Happy House :)
ReplyDeleteI am in the midst of secret sewing that the Kinder Girls are helping me with - They have been a bit silly about me inviting the Kinder boys to the sewing room (apparently boys are yucky!?) but know they would love it if Little Red came to stay!
My favourite fabric shop is my local of course - Esme's in Launceston. Just around the corner and always a smile with my purchases:)
Hobby Sew in Belconnen, ACT. The staff are so lovely, their range is wonderful and you can browse for hours just dreaming..........
ReplyDeleteI'll pop into MillRose tomorrow and shake her hand.
