I thought we might have a little chat.
No, nothing’s wrong, I’m just a little bit worried about you.
You’ve seemed troubled lately…..kind of distant.
Your behaviour is changing, its hard to predict.
Things seem a little erratic,
and to be honest your word verification is almost incomprehensible.
I’m starting to worry
I’m not judging you blogger, I want to help you.
Blogger ? Love ?
Are you doing drugs?
Once a Mum always a Mum - like your style :)
ReplyDeleteOMG I am first...........blogger must be on some seriously bad drugs.....creating delusion of grandness that are a nightmare for the common folk like us.........
ReplyDeletehahahahaha LOVE your post.
ReplyDeletehugs
xo
Oh Jodie...
ReplyDeleteDo attach my name to that "letter" too...
What is up with it???
It made me download google chrome (which I wasn't fussed on) and lately I haven't been able to see a lot of comment boxes at the end of peoples posts...
and don't even get me started on ow hard it has been writing my own posts...I am lucky to work it out anymore...
Thanks for letting me know that I am not alone...
Yep, Blogger is rooted.... :/
ReplyDeleteI agree - really needs some therapy to get its act together.
ReplyDeleteI think blogger has gotten in with a bad crowd, mine is acting up too & just to prove it's point the word verification on this comment is horrific!
ReplyDeleteLOL! You really have a way with words!
ReplyDeleteSo true!
ReplyDeleteDo we need to band together and do an intervention ?
ReplyDeleteTrust you, Jodie, to put what we're all thinking into a cheerful post instead of just thinking unkind thoughts toward the @$$#@!& who thought the new comment form or word verification was a good idea. (And then when you type the goofy words, spell check tells you it's a misspelling - LOL)
ReplyDeleteI'm really disliking the word verification these days. I actually think it creates more work (collectively) than the spam it's trying to prevent. Unless I am under-estimating the power of the spam?
ReplyDeleteI do hope blogger listens to you (so far it seems to just be mumbling and going off to a dark room...)
ReplyDeleteI turned my word verification off as it &/$@) me to tears. Hasn't caused a problem yet, but then I haven't posted in about a month....
ReplyDeleteI just started a new site using blogger and my own custom domain name and I'm loving it! Then again, I don't have comments enabled at all on that blog, so I'm side stepping all the issues, hehe.
ReplyDeleteYES!!!!!!! A tiny part of me has been tossing around the idea of chucking it all in. Too much trouble. x
ReplyDeleteyou might find this TED talk interesting...it explains what they are doing with the new form of captcha or word verification
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQl6jUjFjp4
Someone mentioned it when this discussion came up on an e-list.

Ha ha ha I love it. Blogger is losing the plot that's for sure:)
ReplyDeleteI've turned word verification off since they introduced this new system with TWO WORDS that you can barely read. And that was quite the rigmarole to do, let me tell you, had to revert to the old interface, no less.
ReplyDeleteAhhh jodie, you are awesome! I fell out of love with blogger recently and enjoying some quiet Now. Word verification sucks & google reader is just never ending. Fb seems to be easier to manage for now.
ReplyDeleteLet us know if blogger replies to your letter x
P.s your word verification nentiv sperman
I am sooooooooo there girlfriend!! The word thingy is driving me NUTS!!! aas if it's not hard enough wanting to comment on your fave blogs in the little time we may have to do so and then I can't understand a bloody thing I am meant to put in, and there isn't even a wheelchair to click on for old farts like me
ReplyDeleteI can relate to everyones comments....thank goodness it isn't just me! Thanks Jodie :-)
ReplyDeletestaging an intervention, good plan.
ReplyDeleteif you haven't deleted all your old emails... look for one with subject line "know any tame geeks" and read it again. Oct '11.
lol I've been seeing a number of people from Australia complaining about blogger issues - clearly something's going on in your lovely country with Blogger!
ReplyDeleteBut the word verification! Now THAT'S an internationally annoying problem! Argh!
Hahaha -- now to send Blogger to rehab. Hopefully the first thing to go will be those goofy, crooked words!
ReplyDeleteLOL :D
ReplyDeleteHaving a few issues with blogger myself.
When I first saw the new word verification, I thougt it was just me and perhaps it was time for new/stronger glasses.
Poor Blogger, if you're right I guess I shouldn't be laughing!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean and I'd leave you a comment... except I think I might be a robot... ah wait... got it on the tird attempt!
ReplyDeleteJodie, that's so TRUE. I removed word verif. (gasp) from my blog just last week. And my comment numbering has disappeared. I might have to call off all giveaways until blogger goes into - and comes out of - rehab. It's all so bizarre. But thank you for helping us all laugh about it. You're like an anonymous support group for people who didn't even know they needed a support group for conditions they didn't know was in vogue to vent about. Hurrah for you!
ReplyDeleteChuckling here - so very very apt!
ReplyDeleteI'm struggling with that word verification as well. I just left a comment on another blog, and it took 3 tries! They are so grainy and incomprehensible nowadays. It's maddening. Hopefully, your little letter will set them straight. Now, let's see if I can navigate through word verification this time...
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought it was ME?! I thought you(and another blog) wanted me to stop stalking, um, I mean stop posting comments.
ReplyDeleteI've already started drinking over this break-up and now I find out it isn't me?! I guess I shoulda asked first, eh? ;p
xo, me
Yep not leaving comments because the word verification is the pits, l turned it off on my blog, thanks chooky blue.
ReplyDeleteHmm is it time for an intervention?
ReplyDeleteI could reccomend a good dr
ReplyDeleteSo funny! I hate it so much the last time I left a comment I used the speaker. I can hear words just fine. I can barely read the crap they call "words".. To me words should be actual words, you know the kind you can use in a sentence..Oh and if you aren't signed into blogger when you comment you have to type even more "words"
ReplyDeleteI thought it was just me!
ReplyDeleteThought maybe I was getting dumber or something. Good to see we're all in the same leaky boat.
Yes Jodie. I agree. Absolutely shocking. I tried using the audio version and I was totally stumped. I'm now convinced I have dyslexia and need a hearing aid. Thanks blogger!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap yes, the other day I had to delete and repost a post just to get the darn comments to work. Blogger I love you, I chose you for a reason please don't make me rethink.
ReplyDeleteCue: Amy Winehouse singing I Don't Want To Go To Rehab, no! no! no!
ReplyDeleteDr. Finn has agreed to sponser me but do I really NEED to go? ;p
Perfect Jod! :o) xxx
ReplyDeleteLOATHE the verification, i just have approval on comments so a) i catch all the spam & b) no word verification for my commenters!! Love Posie

ReplyDeleteHi, Jodie:
ReplyDeleteI am not a blogger, but I am a crafter, quilter and I also sew and I used to make dolls, too, but mainly from patterns. I found your blog through Sew, Mama, Sew when someone mentioned Baxter with a link. I am pretty new to computers and get kinda shy about commenting -- does anyone really need the 101st version of "so cute!!"? -- especially long after the date of the post -- I don't know how to tell my computer to sign up for the up-to-date ones.
Anyway, I went back to the beginning of your blog and I am laughing my way up to the present. You are SO funny! Your little animals, toys, robots and real life kitties are all SO adorable!
I have no idea how far you blog-voice reaches (but I just emailed the Baxter link to six of my friends) but it is surely not far enough. I must join your readers in urging you to publish your work in book form. There are just not enough laughs in the world, and you seem to have an unlimited fount of them.
And I love the Australian-flavored English! This is truly the best reading I've done recently! So thank you very much. (I feel better now, not being a lurker, thanks.)

Here Here - well said!
ReplyDeleteAnd, what a lovely visit from Carol (above) !
I'll see if I can do the word verification ;)
Jacqueline
