Yesterday afternoon Mr Ric-Rac and I headed off to Bendigo to see, once again, the freaky genius of the John Butler trio. Sometime after lunch Mr Ric-Rac enquired as to whether I had my car-craft planned. YIKES ! With Izzy's embroidered dress completed I had nothing to do....
But there is always something on the back burner... Its not perfect by a long shot, but it was quick and fun and car-friendly
and shows a surprising amount of decorum.......
Obviously I am still not quite myself.
I am heading to (or through) Bendigo this week too, but I am taking knitting in the car, 'cause it would be bad to cuss in front of the kids...
ReplyDeleteOh what a delightful way to do that expression!! One of my children just saw it & gasped, she thought it was pretty cool (she's my dark one, naughty but nice, you would love her Jodie, she's the evil twin but too adorable).
ReplyDeleteSeeing you did it in the car, you could hang in there, like those awful 'baby on board' signs or worse, a football team supporter thingy. I can imagine honking approval at that.
Kudos to your husband for reminding you to take craft OR are you a back seat driver?? Was this to keep you quiet?? Love Posie

ReplyDeleteHe he... I have tried stitching in the car and gave up to save my poor fingers from being pricked by the needle and my stitches end up all wobbly. Maybe I should try again.
ReplyDeleteMust be a music vibe in the air at the moment. Hubby and I escaped the house and child and pretended we were young again and went to see Megan Washington at the Karova Lounge in Ballarat. It was heaps of fun.

Oh Jod, I knew I liked you for a good reason. Haven't I told you that my daughter is the love child of John Butler? I saw JBT here in Adelaide three weeks ago. Absolutely ACE. I got right up the front with the young 'uns. So fab! I see them every time they come to lil' ol' adelaide. My husband thinks I am JBT insane.

ReplyDeleteOh, I like your hubby better than mine. Mine says (or rather grunts on occasion) "Are you crocheting or do you want to drive?" To be fair, I prefer to drive if I don't have crocheting on the go. Can't sit in the car doing nothing.
