oh!

If you got to share space with these people, and be their neighbours, and hang out with them- I know that your brain would be filled with new ideas ,crazy ideas and amazement at the wonder of the world of craft and blogs (and crafty bloggers).
If you got to talk with them and laugh with them, you would know that no matter what crazy ideas you had about how super awesome they were and how professional and how sooo much better than you they were and that they would be somehow too cool to talk to, you would know that you could not possible have been more wrong and that these guys are just awesome!!!
They are all friendly and funny and welcoming and just................ you know , they are just like you guys and me and my mind is almost exploding!!!!
(and there is so much more to show you - Today I bought the most awesome wonderful something. It makes my heart sing , rejuvenates my soul and reinforces my belief in the human race........)

  6. I saw your dress on Kerri-Anne this morning. She had a guest reporter running around the show and they did a feature piece explaining what selvedge was.

Apparently you're the new cool. I had my camera hand and took pictures of it on my screen, but felt a little silly posting my virtual trip to the show!

  37. I did promise you a poem, and I take my promises very seriously, so here it is:

    JODIE'S POEM

    The world's tailors most fine,
Both the young and the old,
    Send her treasures sublime,
    More precious than gold.

    These treasures are remnants
    Of her blogging friends' smiles,
    Like sweet boxes of comments
    Bridging so many miles.

    Each treasure she holds
    In her beautiful hands,
    And she sews magic objects
    Out of colourful brands.

    Jodie's one of a kind,
And when you meet her you'll know,
    That her smile comes wrapped
    In a huge selvedge bow.

    :)

  38. It has been great getting to know you Jodie! You are one talented (and crazy) woman!
    Your dress is fabulous!

  39. Congratulations, I saw your dress on KAK. What a pity the person doing the cross didn't have the good manners to mention you by name. If she had been referring to a painting I bet she would have mentioned the artist.

  40. Yaaaaay, well said! It was so great getting to know you and everyone else in our little crafty 'hood.

I'm going to be a bit sad tomorrow going back to normal life, I'll miss all you guys!! Especially your expert snacks-providing and hair-tie-gathering skills ... and generally infectious energy.

Oooh, I must remember to grab those photos of my little workshop off you, if they're still floating around on your camera somewhere :)
