I am new to your blog and can't work out why it has taken me so long. Your stuff is beautiful. Thank you for the eye candy and inspiration to put those knitting needles down and dust off the sewing machine.
green is good, in my view. Especially green and white which I think shows admirable restraint and taste. I always end up with garish green, blue and red type combos - even when I am trying to be tasteful.
Now I have a question... the safety pins, are they instead of pins? Do you baste as well? Am soon to quilt my first cot sized quilt and I have no idea. I suppose I should google that instead of pestering you ;)
The Great Green Monster (such a title needs capitals, don't you think?) looks not the least bit scary, but then I don't have to quilt it. Love the echo quilting by the way. I'm sure he will be much more cooperative now that he's had a good sleep...
jodie, great to see the shop stocked...would love to purchase the tea set pattern could you give me a aussie dollar price and reply to me on this comment e-mail...as i need to pay with money order if this is cool by you...
I love it when the green and white quilt appears. Thre is just something about it that makes me smile and makes me want to start buying snippets of green fabric.
I'll have to make a purchase next payday. Lucy was sitting on my lap while I was looking at the shop and I clicked on the Kinder girls item and she said "there's Molly, how did she get in there"
good luck taming the Great Green Beastie! I will be ordering stuff from your shop after we get back from visiting my parents in Idaho in less than two weeks time...i would badger you for a swap but I don't think anything I do is even remotely on par with your work.
I suppose I best go enjoy this beautiful British sunshine before it goes into hiding again.
Jodiepoo I was wondering when the 'monster' would be awoken from its slumber.. I was thinking around the same time as my very lax project.. my poor quilt, quilted in May LAST YEAR is still waiting for its binding.. it did get moved today from the end of the dining table TO the sewing machine so tomorrow is lookin' good.. wish me luck petal!
I have a big red and white monster that looks pretty similar although your quilting lines are possibly the straightest I've ever seen. Do share your secret won't you?
I am so looking forward to finishing a few projects just for me now the madness has finished. Quilts are high on the priority list and that one of yours is just so gorgeous in its lovely green and white freshness.
The green beast is looking more tame each time you bring it out! I love the crispness of white and green, it looks fabulous, so simple yet so effective!!!
What a delightful blog you have....so glad I found you. Love your green and white quilt. But, most of all, love that you shared your torment in making the upholstery for the chair. I've only covered one chair, and swear never to do that again. (But, I too, love my chair)
Loving the monster...well done...and big congrats on a tidy sewing room...do you hire out?? You had a lovely time with the shopping at S & C...WOW!! Cheers, Tracey
