I have been on a bit of a promise to make up a PVC wallet.
Figuring that I had EITTTS on the run by now, I thought I'd give it a go.
Hey presto !
Then I got to wondering how it would look if I used a photo, so I printed Seamus out on some ink jet printer fabric.
Then I decided to make that I will actually use.......so here it is. School report circa Yr 10 (age about 16).
That last comment states "Jodie shows little interest in computing + spends far too much time being a nuisance"
In my defence I'd like to state that I did computing twice a week for a whole year and that man never once mentioned blogging !!!
LoL! I love what you did with that lil project! Especially the report card-great -original idea!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!~Smiles~Tam!
hee-hee! This is great . . . both seamus and the report card.
ReplyDeletesee Jodie, what do teachers know about the real world!!! just joking :) I can relate to report comments like that - especially Fiona talks too much blah blah blah.
ReplyDeleteI do love the quirky wallet. -Original ++
I'm a teacher and if I ever wrote that on a kid's report card I would be immediately fired and shunned from the community.
ReplyDeleteLove these! I am so uncrafty and have no idea how you do your magic, but it is fun to look at. I love polka dots! Maybe you should put some in your etsy shop--hint hint ;) Happy New Year! xx
ReplyDeleteNow these are not part of your EITTTS! They are fab Jodie. I love the report card one - you still talk a lot!!! Hee Hee. Love the last teacher's comment!!! Imagine trying to get away with that now.
ReplyDeleteThey are fabulous! Looks like you're back in the crafting game!
ReplyDeleteGreat wallets Jodie. I think you have mastered computing too!
ReplyDeleteAn "A" plus for the wallet AND your computing ability. Very funny report card. What did you get for Home Economics at school?????
ReplyDeleteWell if you were "fully applying yourself" maybe the EITTTS will disappear............lol........the wallets look good.......have fun sewing....
ReplyDeleteI am giggling at your report card.. looks a little like mine! I was a nerdberger at school, but never applied myself enough or was talking too much!
ReplyDeleteI have crapcraftitis at the moment too.. all my 120 blocks I made for a mystery are 1/4" too small.. poop.. so I am making sure I stuff up the rest by 1/4".. I do stuff up REAL well :O)

Thinking we may have had the same Computer Teacher.
ReplyDeleteTHen again back then it was all Apple Computers and programming.
No never mentioned the world of blogging.
Mind you that was back in 1985 - 1986
Those have Etsy written all over them !!!
ReplyDeleteNot even ONCE ey?! What an evil man... *giggles*
ReplyDeleteLOVE those wallets. Love, love, LOVE!! :D
Ha Ha....that made me laugh.....well all I can say is your younger than me we didn't have computing when I went to school....I would never show my old report....all they said was I talked to much!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHee hee - we used to get proper reports in the 'olden' days huh?! Dare not write anything even a tiny bit negative these days - no fun AT ALL!!
ReplyDeleteYour wallets are fab missus - looks like you the EITTTS beaten into submission :-)
xxx
OMG, this is fab, love the pics. Maybe a tutorial for it, so us followers who did computers and sewing, and were good at niether till theie 30's could have a go. Wouldn't schol be better when you're older, when you are ready to listen?
ReplyDelete'Jodie shows little interest in computing' - you should check if he is still at the school and mail him your blog link :-)
ReplyDeleteLol, thats a good use of a report card. They look great!
ReplyDeletethey are brilliant.. I have a real ting about items with writting on them.. I keep chickening out on actually buying any fabric with writing on it...
ReplyDeleteIthink my report cards went along the lines of "Apryl has potention but spends far too much time day dreaming out the window" hmm
These are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'll put them on my to-do-list. :-)
. . . you STILLL talk too much . . . but I LOVE it!!!!! I'm booking in! FANTASTIC use of old report card.
ReplyDeleteI have lurked for some time and apologise for having the poor manners to do so. I have revealed myself because that report card comment is hilarious. Just goes to show how little teachers know sometimes...
ReplyDeletedidn't even have computers when I was in school!
ReplyDeleteI love the innovative use of your report card! I've only recently come across your blog, but it has become one of my regular reads - great stuff! Happy new year to you and yours!
ReplyDeleteGreat project as usual. No computers when I was in school. Jeez am I that old? Computing when I was in school was adding and subtracting without calculators!
ReplyDeleteTruly fabulous Jodie! When are you putting them in your shop? I'm sure we would all enjoy the laugh of reading your report each day! I really can't imagine you as being talkative or a nuisance at all!!!
ReplyDeleteLocket xxx
I LOVE those little wallets! Brilliant! and those buttons are fantastic! Make some wallets and brooches and sell them in your etsy store- you'll have a buyer!
ReplyDeleteOMG! how cute!!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA.
ReplyDeletethat's AWESOME.
:D
So cute!! You have real talent! Any more on writing that book????????
ReplyDeleteHa! You kicked the EITTTS into touch then? Those are fabulous wallets - I especially love the report one. I found a load of my old reports when I moved - must blog them. They're quite funny. They seem to repeat themselves though ... or else I really did talk too much.
ReplyDeleteMy word verification is 'comed' - that's what I did. I comed, I readed and I commented.
x
OMG! these are GORGEOUS! Love the red polka dots!
ReplyDeletehe he, that's a report card worth keeping for sure :-)
you a nuisance...never...i'm sure you were only exercising your creative muscles!
ReplyDeletelooks really great! I wish I could find an old report card to look back at
ReplyDeleteThey're Fabulous! I love the report card idea, says you talked quite a bit in class - I'm betting you still do! Weirdly I've just read big daughters report (that she's hidden for 2 weeks), quite similar actually...
ReplyDeleteLooks great. I love the polka dots.
ReplyDeleteGreat work - the report card was a novel idea.
ReplyDeleteNow that has to be the best use of a school report I have ever seen! I'm still laughing. The wallets are fantastic. See, that computing class was worth it, despite your teacher's comments!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! Love the monkey. Doesn't it feel good to prove nay-sayers wrong? You sure did.
ReplyDeleteRecycling at its finest!
ReplyDeleteLaugh laugh LAUGH at your computing report! You should send that computer teacher a link to your blog and say "see!!!"
ReplyDeleteAnd your wallets are great.
Great wallets!! Being a PVC sewer I appreciate how tricky that would be!
ReplyDeleteReally loved the report, i have just looked through some of mine but cannot find the one that said, "Tracey should never sew!!" ...or very similar!
Tracey
I love what the computer teacher said - "nuisance" hehehehe! :)
ReplyDeleteI rather like that you didn't listen to his judgment and learned how to use the computer.:)
i love it! what a clever idea!
ReplyDeleteLove the nuisance comment...we wouldn't get away with that these days, although as a teacher I would love to be blunt and to the point sometimes. The mind bulges with phrases I could use!
ReplyDeleteLove the wallets...very special! Cathy
Love the wallets - Seamus looks very funky. Even better is the report card. My theory is that its better to have had someone say you weren't fully applying yourself, than it was that you were slogging your guts out and absolutely cr*p!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see that you are finally applying yourself! Hee, hee.
ReplyDeleteI love the report card and Seamus.
You are amazing.
Karen
A nuisance!
ReplyDeleteThat cracks me up.
How clever, lovely and unique!
ReplyDeleteROFL. I love that wallet! All my school reports said "Marie is a very conscientious student". How totally non-descript is that?? LOL. I always wondered what exactly they meant by that.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you.
xMx
I love the 'spends far too much time being a nuisance' comment! I knew there was a reason I liked you!! :)
ReplyDeleteI keep telling friends that I'm a nuisance but they won't believe me. It's so disappointing.
I'm glad you are still talking quite a bit in class and making lots of sense with it. So nyah to teacher!
Do I see a 'must apply herself' classic comment from my report card days?
ReplyDeleteI think they may have been on to something with me.
lovely wallet-the last comment is too funny!!
ReplyDeleteha ha. I'm not sure how old you are, but we didn't get computers in our school until I was about 15. They were huge and ran one program - a thing where you typed some words and it spoke it back to you. Obviously within about 10 minutes we moved on from 'hello' to...um... stuff you wouldn't say in front of the vicar and we all got told off and I can't remember ever using a computer in school again.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that wallet.
love these wallets! the report card is great!
ReplyDeleteThat's HYSTERICAL!!! What a FANTASTIC and clever idea. I'm thinking there's some sort of smokin' going on in your house -- these ideas of yours are AMAZING!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the report wallet Jod. I'd like to dig my "talent is masked by her awful, uncontrollable, attention seeking behaviour". Ouch...still stings a bit.
ReplyDeleteHaha..., love your report card wallet.
ReplyDeleteoh if that 'computing' teacher could see you now! I guess computing is maths? or was it really computers? I vaguely remember computers in secondary school - they were so basic - we used to play a game called 'grannies garden' on old BBC computers. Did you have these in Aus too - a far far cry from a laptop on your knees in bed on a Saturday lunchtime!
