Christmas is pretty busy you know.
Eloise and I did lots of paper chasing and sticky-tape chewing and maybe we might have maybe a little bit accidentally attacked someones Venus Fly Trap plant that was all wrapped up and nice looking but it was an accident.
Christmas means you get to have sleeps in the middle of the day which is good cause I am really very good at sleeping.
Christmas is when you get to talk at people that maybe you haven't talked at for a long time, cause maybe you are too busy or maybe they are a really really really long way away in another whole country even , or maybe they are family ......and families can be tricky.
and maybe talking to them makes you feel a bit wrinkly on the inside 'cause talking to them is so good that you might miss them even more than you did before you talked to them.
and that sucks a bit... but it's OK
no truly , it is
Its nice to have people that are worth missing.
Very Cute and Clever! Glad you guys had a great day!Cathyx
ReplyDeleteoh to be a cat!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great christmas - sounds like you did x
I only just discovered your blog, wanted to have a quick look and move on. But I've been hanging around for don't know how long. I'm not sure what I like most your kittis and their stories, your own postings or the things you make. But I'll be back to find out. This is by far the funiest blog I ever read. Keep on going! (btw I collect selvedges myself at the moment so I hope you don't mind my having a close look at your results)

I know that wrinkly feeling! Happy New Year Jude! Will you tell Jodie I wished her and her family a happy new year too? Thanks! x
ReplyDeleteYup - xmas can bring all sorts of joys and wrinkliness-on-the-inside. At least it also excuses afternoon naps!
ReplyDeletehope you had a wonderful day. we were so busy over christmas, spending lots of time on the road visiting that i didn't get my pyjama day! Yesterday I finally managed to get some order back into my chaotic house. this morning was the first morning that i woke at 7.00am and stayed in bed until 8.30am reading. bliss!
ReplyDeletehope you get many more naps in!

ReplyDeleteLove your pussycats-such sweet photos. Glad you had an enjoyable Christmas and isn't it wonderful that we have lots of days to play and have afternoon naps and sew and catch up with friends. One thing I bet you're not missing is school!!!! Enjoy! lovely clever, selvedge lady!
ReplyDeleteaww that was lovely.. I called my parents on Christmas night, though H was long in his bed. They told me all about the lovely snow that was falling in Idaho and I told them about H's electric guitar and Super Mario baseball cap.. and how our cat Alys must have heard Santa on Christmas night as she came up and dove under the duvet with us until morning.
ReplyDeleteThis was a gorgeous post. Very sweet. Thanks for you message on my SSCS post. I was very, very spoilt. Donna B was so generous and the silver decorations look really cool on my tree.

ReplyDeleteHi Jodie, I have just found you today from a link on the Selvage blog (which was a link on a newsletter from Blockcentral..whoa, I'm tried) showing off your tape measure bracelets. I don't know what I've enjoyed more, the sweet Christmas posts or searching around all the fun ideas. I'll be back!

Glad you evaded the Christmas police. I followed your kitty's lead and did a lot of Christmas napping! I wish I was a 'well loved' cat.

My kitties just laughed when I pointed out that they could have lovely pictures too if they would only stay still when I point a camera at them!
ReplyDeleteLovely blog, and such informed kitties - and I am sure the plant looked like a cat toy...

ReplyDeleteI just love the way you "talk" in your blog, always get a giggle and your photos are great too, you are such a multi - talented lady.
ReplyDeletei really like this - the inside wrinkles that make it sometimes hard to talk to those you love and miss dearly. i know what you mean. it is nice to have people that are worth missing.
ReplyDeleteAwww - that's just lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteLittle Jude has put it perfectly. I had a few wrinkly telephone moments too.

"families can be tricky" - that really does sum it up neatly. Also, I think I'm in love with your kitten. he/she is very wise. ;)
