News and updates

I just needed to pop in and let you guys know that I will be having a very small shop update tomorrow. (middle of the day Melbourne time)

Charlie, Kate and Addie will all be there and maybe a few other things as well.

I also wanted to let you know that I did look into the little birdcages going into the shop but the international postage was just ridiculous for such a tiny thing.
When Annie and Rachel came over last week I printed more cages with a new screen and Annie had an idea that I could send them out unsewn, with instructions and people could make their own - that way postage wouldn't be a problem.........hmmmmmm ...what do you think?

I also promised that I would mention the competition over at scrapbag , design a mascot / softie and win a great prize. maybe I could try and resurrect one of those earlier disaster softies? yeah ....... maybe not.

  1. Sending the birdcages unsewn is a great idea!

I have one on my shopping list so you have to find a way of selling them!

  7. Oh wow, they even have their own little bags! And cardigans?! Soo cute!

I think you should offer both in your store - readymades for people who can't sew (your bird cages are worth the postage, trust me!) and kits as well.

(I just realised that this doesn't sign my name! Just my blog address. How rude of me, sorry!)

  9. I think the flatpack is a great idea too....I was quite shocked at the amount it cost you to send me beautiful little birdy.....I'd been to the post office earlier in the week to mail an apron which was much heavier and they let me send it as a large letter for only $1!

  16. I think it is a great idea, a kit to make yourself, the thought of getting all the pieces together, then not having it look the same is a huge hurdle for many people. You could turn into the next big thing, I would buy a doll making kit for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the "make your own" kits are a great idea.

Love Kate's lady bug purse, just adorable.

Birdcage kits are a wonderful way to go. How about patterns for the accessories too...little bags, aprons, the reversible dolly/monkey dresses:) The possibilities are endless and it would be great fun to share the Jodie wardrobes through the blogs and flicker. The new Dolly/Monkey McCall ...Vogue patterns for the next generation of little and not so little girls.
    Please, pretty please!!!
