Jodie ! Pull your finger out ! You have been faffing on about these bloody toys for weeks and the whole Etsy thing. Who cares if you don't know what to charge - just make it up! For god sake, no-one else cares about the packaging that much - or the little postcards. Just sew something and get on with it.
Saturday
- Take Miss 16 and the ric- rac gang shopping for the one or two or seventeen most important , just have to have articles of clothing that are needed for the impending trip.
- Result - lighter wallet and some car craft.
- Distinct lack of social engagements. Result - some couch time and some frock finishing time.
Sunday
- ooops I kind of digressed off into a new bag. I do this all the time. When I am stuck on one thing (packaging) I just have to leave it alone for a while and hope for the best. So a new bag that is almost finished- I love love love it and it involves selvedges (photo tomorrow..fingers crossed).
- Day off (kind of). Dentist appointments and other domestic hoo ha. New idea ! Do you like it? I think I am dressing these dollies in the clothes I wish I wore as a kid? I could probably keep a therapist in business for years!
Some Gocco..................
and hey presto - with a suggestion or two from friends, I have packaging that I love.
I am busy busy but the output just seems so slow ! I am aiming for Etsy lift-off in about three weeks and I am sorry to tease like this but there is not much else happening craft wise but wee jumpers, and dresses and aprons and capes and scarves and knitting bags!
Jodie - it is wonderful to see those little dolly faces again!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the packaging!
Awww, cute monkey-peeping bag :-D
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't speak for anyone else, but I rather like the teasing ;-)

ReplyDeleteThat monkey staring out of the bag is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteI love the bag with the view! it reminds me of Mr Squiggle in his rocket ship (anyone remember him?)- he had a little round window as well. I so wish I had a cape with froggy buttons - she is so lucky!
ReplyDeletelooking good for lift off soon Jodie
ReplyDelete(I do that craft digressing thing too, all the time...I'm a disaster!)
I love the little cloak on the dolly...what ever about dressing like that as a child - you could fashion one for yourself now...how cool would that be???
oh oh oh oh it's all just so so so so lovely Jodie! And you're such a tease - show me the bag, go on! BTW, I might make it to Stitches 'n Craft after all - possibly Thursday? Maybe Fri?

ReplyDeletePerfect packaging! And love those little clothes.
ReplyDeleteohhhh I luv the packaging it truly rocks and the wnindow..... too much. Cant wait to see the selvedge bag.....
ReplyDeleteYour packaging is perfect! I wouldn't worry about making clothes you wish you had worn as a child...I would like to wear these clothes NOW. As an adult. Now what would a therapist say about that! :O
ReplyDeleteWow you've been busy. I'm loving the red cape. I actually had a hand me down cream cape as a child which I loved. It seemed so cool to have no sleeves at the time!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you took your time with the packaging because it is fantastic! I'm sure no-one would have minded if you'd sent stuff in an Australia Post satchel though ;-)
ReplyDeleteyou have been very busy in a very productive way, not in a busy but faffing around way that I'm so good at! can't wait to see the etsy store stock.
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing. The fact that you can dream up and sew these cute little clothes is simply mind boggling. I am having a hard enough time sewing a straight line. Your mind is wonderful and so is your creativity. If something I bought came in one of those bags, I would hang the bag up as a decoration. Way to go.
ReplyDeleteThe packaging is gorgeous - simple and effective!
ReplyDeleteWhen do you have time to create and package and blog and read comments? Do you ever sleep?
Your stuff is so dang adorable!!!! I love it. Love your dolls!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's all looking FANTASTIC!!! I just love the bag with the pvc window in it, GORGEOUS!!! You're such an ispiration, thankyou...
ReplyDeleteJodie
cant wait for your etsy, I am sure it will be a hit looks great love the packaging, that monkey it too cute! Cheers Christine
ReplyDeleteBrilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!! I can see some fighting over these dollies once they get in that shop of yours!!
ReplyDeletethe window is unbelievable! I think, yes, just jump in! What's so great about etsy is that you can do it all on your terms and your shop can grow and change. Everything doesn't have to be figured out before you start. I'm still figuring out shipping boxes and all the weird post office fees.
ReplyDeleteWow! You do amazing work! The clothes are so cute, and your idea for packaging is brilliant. Your Etsy shop is going to do very well!
ReplyDeleteLove the little peep hole - looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteemma
At the risk of restating the obvious for the 41st time, the packaging is BRILLIANT! Taking time off from a project to let it marinate in the ol' subconscious - while distracting myself with another project - is one of my all-time favorite and most successful strategies!
